anyone else really like acherontas?

Brew 02-23-2011 11:26 AM
Maybe not, but, $22 dollars, for tickets to see Dimmu, and Enslaved, and another $22 dollars to see Cradle and Nachtmystium, not too bad. (Of course, I didn't get the tickets online.) Especially when you consider that my godson's mom just forked out around $500 for two tickets for them to see to Eric Clapton. I think they in the front row, or something, but, still.

(PS: Don't tease me about Cradle, hee. I was there for Blake.)
$500 for Clapton? Christ.

eh, I've seen Cradle a few times. Don't really enjoy their newer material though.

I'll probably order those cds after my birthday. $62 (£35-ish depending on the current exchange rate) seems like a good deal.

witchxrapist 02-23-2011 11:27 AM

$62 for a show is a rip off.

rasputin 02-23-2011 11:43 AM

those paysage things are prob a little overpriced, but at least you're getting an A5 book cover thing with it

plus it's paysage

fag needs to do vinyl reissues

Angmar 02-23-2011 11:46 AM

Most I ever paid for a show was like 40 dollars to see Heaven and Hell and be in like the 3rd row, well worth it.

witchxrapist 02-23-2011 11:47 AM

R.I.P. Dio

rasputin 02-23-2011 11:48 AM

60 bucks is pretty average for an international act here (not including huge ones). ie. opeth 3 years ago was 65 bucks. metallica or leonard cohen are like 150. la dispute played here a couple of weeks ago, that was like 25 bucks which was cool

Txus 02-23-2011 11:52 AM

65 bucks for Opeth? haha holy shit, I would never go to shows there.

Btw, Ashdautas <3

Anglachel 02-23-2011 12:27 PM

wow i hate paying more than 25 for a show

Have you ever tried Drudkh?
Yeah actually. I liked them more than most black metal. And thanks mapster. I'll check them out.
What did you guys think of Until the Light Takes Us?
it was alright, might give it another watch sometime soon

witchxrapist 02-23-2011 01:52 PM

Oh yeah, Australia's like remote and shit.

Morumbar 02-23-2011 02:08 PM

@ Kyle: try Drudkh and Deafheaven. I think that'd be pretty much up your alley.

RouteOne 02-23-2011 02:12 PM

Where did you guys see Until the Light Takes Us?

Morumbar 02-23-2011 02:14 PM

I just downloaded it off TPB.

Brew 02-23-2011 02:50 PM

I downloaded it as well.

I think Fenriz is adorable in that film. The scene in the gallery with him walking around all those little rooms, and, then standing in front of the picture of Dead is so shamanic. No wonder he had to ask for a glass of water after those shots. I think I started leaving my body the first time I watched it.

Also the street scenes of Oslo are remarkable. Plus love the scenes of him buying cassette tapes at the flea market, and, visiting the site that used to be Helvete, also, the scene of the girl crawling all over him at the bar. You go, girl. I can relate. I just love Fenriz.

I pre-ordered the two disk set, so already have my copy. I haven't had time to watch the extra footage of Fenriz doing a Heavy Metal 101 class, but, I really want to watch it some time soon.

Txus 02-23-2011 04:02 PM

Fenriz is the best part of the whole film, there are some really dumb parts. It was okay.

Mikk 02-23-2011 04:04 PM

I still need to watch it.

Angmar 02-23-2011 04:15 PM

Still haven't seen it.

Txus 02-23-2011 04:16 PM

Vargs interview is pretty cool.

Talking about Varg, I didn't like the new Burzum album all that much. The vocals are kinda bad.

ur a total norwegian black metal tool

Nepenthe 02-23-2011 05:04 PM

i will never purposely watch a music documentary

Bitchfork 02-23-2011 05:14 PM

I like short 10 min. long ones about artists who intrigue me greatly (whether or not their music is good). I watched a Sachiko M. video and it was pretty cool - really enhanced my knowledge of her whole scene.

DBlitz 02-23-2011 05:17 PM

i need to rewatch that solely to ask you guys where this one riff (which was playing in the background at one point) is from

like it sounded like a black metal version of ctawb if i remember correctly

TheSpirit 02-23-2011 08:53 PM

Until The Light Takes Us was pretty boring, just reiterated the same stories we've all heard a million times before.

masscows 02-23-2011 09:25 PM
