The phrase 'old school hardcore' is becoming as detatched and fashionably repped by people who have nothing todo with it as 'old skool hip hop'

ps Reiner and Scott, get with the avatar based Christmas cheer. Assholes.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-28-2005 03:10 PM

Old school hardcore should be strictly the 80's. Maybe a few bands who started late 80's and ended early 90's can be considered.
If anyone has this month's AMP, they have a little article on SOTY's new album, and they talk about drawing influence from old school hardcore.

The singer dude: "I listened to a lot of old-school hardcore, to get that positive hardcore feel, like Sick of It All, H20, Bane."

haha, what a douche.
Good album

Hell yeah! They played here a few weeks ago, and they torn the place up.

That's not even that funny.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-28-2005 03:40 PM

I have till Thursday to make one. Remind me tomorrow as I have a lot of shit to do.

kingdead 11-28-2005 03:44 PM

125x125 pixels of pure Christmas. Not having one by thursday should totally be a banable offence.

ps Mad kudos to Scott for not bailing out.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-28-2005 03:51 PM

I can set it however big I want, no limit. But I'm keeping it 125 or under.

kingdead 11-28-2005 04:15 PM

Is it common knowledge round here that the guy who pulled Saddam out of his hole was Hopecon's old drummer?

Umm, nah, I don't think it is.

_Tyler 11-28-2005 04:19 PM

Avatars should be allowed to be just big enough so that it doesn't stretch the frame of the layout...it's kinda dumb having tiny avatars.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-28-2005 04:21 PM

I could give you guys bigger avatars, but it would have to be a covert mission and only like an extra 10 pixels bigger. Also you guys need to learn how to use Photoshop to make your images better quality.

_Tyler 11-28-2005 04:22 PM

I'm down. I use microsoft photo editor to resize mine...they usually turn out well.

Let's Chop Cats! 11-28-2005 04:25 PM

Your current one looks like crap. Use photoshop to resize it and turn the image quality up. PS will save it as a file that is too big, but then open it in paint and save it. It'll be the same quality but a smaller size.

Berserker! 11-28-2005 04:29 PM

Dude do it

_Tyler 11-28-2005 04:29 PM

I run on a really high resolution so it's hard to tell...I switched and it looks like crap now.

I like that guy, but that band's singer is annoying.

I should have a christmas avatar soon, depending on if anyone can help me in The Pit or not.

shane italian 11-28-2005 05:29 PM

If Reiner gave anyone a bigger avatar it would be me.

Forward To Death Is Breaking Up

So after 2 and a half years of being a band, 3 records, and 100 shows... Forward to Death is calling it quits. Our guitar player, Drew, is moving to California in mind January to pursue his work. Drew has been one of our best friends, and though it sucks we need to end FTD, we wish him all the best of luck, and continuing the band without him was not even an option.

We got to do so much cool stuff in the short amount of time we were a band, and we got to meet so many great people, and make so many new friends. Its rare a band gets to break up on such good terms. FTD started as 3 friends being idiots and making music for fun, and it will end as 4 friends being idiots and making music for fun. We will be playing a last show in a few weeks, and are trying to pull things together now.

We have so many people to thank... everyone who was ever on the road with us, booked us a show, put out a record (xavier and mike!), and so much more. Especially our brother band, Kill Your Idols, who really took us under their wing and gave us so many fun times. Without getting too into detial... you know who you are... the max 2 defs, the kimpossibles, all our NJ/shore bros, ex members, rascal crew, crewtonz crew, etc... you made this bad idea of a band so much ****ing fun for us, and we could never thank you enough.

keep an eye out for the last show! and we will be playing Dec. 11th in Middletown, NJ... stop by after going to see Direct Control!!

XOXO FTD

_Tyler 11-28-2005 08:30 PM
