quite a few songs on [I]Mirage[/I] reminds me of fIREHOSE songs. I like some of this a lot, but some is just dull. I'd say it's a decent album overall, though. And that's one of my favourite Flaming Lips albums.

Thats my favorite FLIPs album. "Five Stop Superior Mother Rain" is so good.

"We're Here" is like the best song ever. It's no wonder I also like Yo La Tengo's "The Lie and How We Told It" cause they both got that dark, ambient nocturnal desert country/western feel to them.

Is there any more music like this I can get my hands on?

I have a feeling you'll like the album [I]Jimmy Wine Majestic[/I] by Red Red Meat. "Moon Calf Tripe" and "Lather" if you're looking for specifics. They fit the description, minus the ambient.

Its depressing to see so little people on lastfm have listened to it. Its a lost classic.

I, apparently, am digging The Strokes -Is This It, because that's what the music in the coffee house is.

This album brings back memories of lame.

I think The Strokes are good.
