Crazy Drummer 05-04-2006 08:30 AM

Why does this place hate competition, I get perm banned for advertising my new forum. Seriously, fuck you guys. All the mods and admins are shit.

Whats wrong with a little competition? Boo who people leave, people already have. Theres way better forums then this place, you have no freaking freedom whatsoever - fuck you all.

PS - Apart from a few decent guys, I love you.

*GASP* She was an awsome singer!

Stupid move number one for Nightwish - Throw Tarja out.

Talos 05-04-2006 12:08 PM

The snare drum at school is just a plain steel snare but it has a muffler inside. Its like a picec of foam on a metal handle thing and its against the snare batter, this seemed slightly unusual. Then I realized thats why it sounded so cool, because it had muffling on it, I hadnt noticed it before but, there ya go.

She was kicked out because the band hated her.
Working with people you hate = hardly a good thing.

Drum Phil 05-04-2006 12:33 PM

^^^^ Exactly

This may sound weird, but I actually like those mufflers, they often work better then o rings and such.

Drum Phil 05-04-2006 12:57 PM

I used to have one in my snare. I forgot to put it back in when i was cleaning the shell and i jus got tuned up when i spotted it on the table

Yeah, I only use the one on my school's cheap CB drum, its the only thing that'l make it sounds ok, haha.

Oh by the way, thanks for joining EMD, haha.

Talos 05-04-2006 01:14 PM

Daw, my schools cheap snare is better than my more expensive snare

Mind you its only more expensive by about £50 lol

I have to put tape on my snare at the minute as we are doing Metallica covers, its the only way it works :|

Talos 05-04-2006 02:57 PM

Double Bass Jim 05-04-2006 03:41 PM

Anyone who plugs that outside forum is getting banned

Stop advertising

Drum Phil 05-04-2006 03:52 PM

Thats a bit harsh isnt it? :-/

Double Bass Jim 05-04-2006 03:54 PM

No it's pretty obvious

Drum Phil 05-04-2006 04:07 PM

Well, you're the boss. I aint done anything wrong so ive got nothing to worry about huh? :)

Time 05-04-2006 04:11 PM

When you're playing heel up, do you leave your toes on the pedal and move your heels up and down while not hitting the pedal? I'm clueless w/ heel up double bass playing and I need some kinda video.

Drum Phil 05-04-2006 04:13 PM

With double bass i pivot at the ankle, moving my toes and the ball of my feet.

Corkofski 05-04-2006 05:10 PM

ofDooM 05-04-2006 05:54 PM

better late than never...

My name is Don. im 15 and ive been playing drums for 6 years. My type of music is anything from Rock to Metal. My favorite bands are Trivium, Opeth, Lamb of God, and Behemoth. I also started playing guitar and bass not so long ago. I like to play games occasionally but most of the time i mod games. When it comes to drumming, i play all styles; not just heavy stuff. My favorite drums would be the Yamaha Recording Customs.

This forum has helped me with a lot of issues, and even made me realize a few things. I enjoy it here, and thanks to all those people who have helped me. Nice meeting you all :D

punkrocker2o1 05-04-2006 07:34 PM

Hey. So i havent posted for a month. I've been busy and my computers chargers lit on fire so had to wait 3 weeks for a new one. In the mean time, Ive gotten an A custom crash :) and a gardeners iso headphones (i think theyre the same as Loytons?). So with these iso headphones I've noticed I like the sound MUCH better while im wearing them. Is there anyway i could tune the drums to sound like this without the headphones? Didnt feel this was worth a thread..

not fishbulb 05-04-2006 08:32 PM
Fishy i helped with your cam question
Whoa. Whoa. You got your old account back?

Win A Rabbit 05-04-2006 08:54 PM

I got banned for giving someone the link to the other forum after they asked what it was. That's not really advertising. I'll admit, i plugged it a few times before then, but to ban me for answering someone's question is a bit harsh.

ofDooM 05-04-2006 09:15 PM

i dont think its worth a new thread so ill ask it here.

What is a trusted site to order drum hardware online? i have no online shopping experiences so i wouldnt know..

thanks.
