Spaceman Spiff 12-02-2004 04:12 PM

i don't like U2 at all, but the worst thing i have ever heard from them is their cover of Beat On The Brat by The Ramones.
i laugh at it because of Bono's weak pussy sounding voice :)
Eddie Vedder? His voice kicksass.
i've seen Pearl Jam 3 times, such an amazing band. they've been one of my favorites for such a long time...probably for about 9-10 years.

FUNKNBASS 12-02-2004 04:18 PM

Yeah I've seen them everytime they've come down to Florida, thier easily among my top 10 bands ever, maybe even top 5.

PaulSimonon 12-02-2004 04:28 PM

My bass is finished!

nisakss 12-02-2004 04:29 PM
Hi again! Im back from jamming...

Conoceis a Aznar?, the ex-president of Spain, he was absolutely stupid, even more than Bush (I know its hard but...). Luckily he will be no more in the charge cause we voted for Zapatero (shoemaker, in english ;)). Remember we had a terrible terrorist atack the 11 of march and the voting was the 14 so it was a little influenced by that thing, specially when Aznar and his goverment tryed to blame ETA (our local terrorism) instead of blaming Alcaeda, eventhough they know wasnt guilty. (it was unforgetable you know. Nowadays, Aznar is teaching politics in USA...lol lol. We give your the best of our culture lol lol lol :lol:h

NOTE: Ive just realized I started the sentence speaking spanish and then I turned to english...odd

I know another good sentence about peace and war:

"No hay nada de bueno en la guerra ya que, gane quien gane, todos perdemos"

I love Sunday Bloody Sunday by U2, my war-related favourite song.
BUSH Y AZNAR A REBUSNAR!!!! BUSH Y AZNAR A REBUSNAR!!!!

Yeah Joeys voice is so aggressive I can't imagine a band like U2 trying to cover them.
plus Ramones>U2
kiss my *** if you think otherwise.

nisakss 12-02-2004 05:01 PM

:amaze:

PaulSimonon 12-02-2004 05:06 PM

Man, your wrist? That's harsh. How'd it happen.

Dieforitall89 12-02-2004 05:06 PM

*Is afraid* I've just been informed a pair of 4x10's and a Marshall head have appeared at my guitarists house...god save me 15 incher.

TomJoad 12-02-2004 05:07 PM

It hurt like hell indeed, I played bass an hour afterwards though, but I went to two doctors and I have to wear a brace. I can't slap play bass right now though.

Edit- To Nisakss

2nd Edit at the same time- To Paul Simonon: I was at band practice, and me and the drummer and the lead guitarist and another guy dogpiled the rythm guitarist and his girlfriend.

Luck+

twopelu 12-02-2004 05:21 PM

In fact, it is said rebuZnar but I think that Z will be impossible to pronounce with your english-used-to-mouths ;)

It would be something similar to "rebuuthhnar".

Omega Red 12-02-2004 05:22 PM

meh english is overtly conplex

Wintermute 12-02-2004 05:24 PM

It is, basically because it's a confused hybrid of Celtic, Latin and old Teutonic languages, with an added flavour of French, and various other European languages.

PaulSimonon 12-02-2004 05:25 PM

Latin is really complex as well.

Wintermute 12-02-2004 05:26 PM

Not nearly as complex as English.

PaulSimonon 12-02-2004 05:28 PM

But really confusing for english speaking people... I like it though, very practical.

Foxfire 12-02-2004 05:29 PM

Latin isn't that practical in today's world, in my opinion...

Crapdragoon 12-02-2004 05:29 PM

I feel sad today, dunno why i just do, just one of thoses days i guess. :-/

Wintermute 12-02-2004 05:29 PM

I couldn't do it, I'm no linguist. I got acceptable grades in it, then dropped it. Vocab tests and such I could do because of the english derivatives, but verbs and stuff... I've never been able to learn tables of things. For the most part I'd just write down the stem and add a random latin-y ending, like -us

PaulSimonon 12-02-2004 05:30 PM

^^ How much do you know?
