I just learned Fairies Wear Boots. My garage band class is supposed to be on the local news and I want the to get a shot of me playing that song. (that and FTB or Sanitarium)

There was a point in my life where I could play through every Metallica song, how sad eh?

heh...battery isnt that hard to play. the solo is difficult, though. i love the timing in the verse riff its all syncopatedish. brilliant :thumb:

my band is doing the big 3 from Sabbeth

sweet. past bands i've had have covered metal militia, enter sandman (easyyy), sad but true (eassyyyyer), master of puppets, fade to black, seek and destroy, whiplash, outlaw torn, and four horsemen. i swear...metallica's songs are the most enjoyable to play! orgasmic....and slayer too. but metallica is def my fav to play with other kids.

My band was asked to play. All the other bands are doing stuff to show off and try and prove themselves better than each other. My band's just doing it for a laugh so were doing FWTBT, a song by McFly, a song by NOFX and Rock Around the Clock.
We can only do 4 ATM but we're hoping to do more.

I can play through Concerto when I'm warmed up and parts of Speed Metal Symphony, Perpetual Burn and whatnot but nowhere near his standard or ease, I'm still working on all that sweep picking and alt. picking crap.

asked to play where? just a random battle of the bands? i swear kids are deteriorating music nowadays...now anyone can call themselves a band and get into a kids club it sucks. im holding off for a bit so i can get my irish rock band started and kick everyone's anus

It's meant to be a friendly gig at school but everyone's treating it as a battle of the bands, except my band who are just there to have fun and piss about.

In My GB class we're doing: Misfits dig up her bones, Metallica (FTB Sanitarium, Call of the Ktulu, and possibly Orion) I brought in some sabbath (fairies wear boots, Black Sabbath, NIB) and Pantera's 5 Minutes Alone. (Yay, I get to sound like Dime)

Sure. Our other guitarist is having trouble learning the guitar stuff to the point of him just wanting to do vocals. I want to show him that the song is incredibly easy.
