They are completely different in relation to The Bad Seeds imo. Think Nick Cave singing in a tortured high pitched squeal among (among other voices that he seems to project) and that's what you have. Takes a few listens to appreciate the album compared to any Bad Seeds album I've heard but it's good. Only Birthday Party album I've heard though but I'll definitely be getting more. |
Birthday Party are awesome
Prayers on Fire is my favourite |
Birthday Party are awesome
Prayers on Fire is my favourite
I've heard that's amazing. I only got The Junkyard because it seemed to be the most popular (review wise) and it was the only one I could find to download at the time but it's worth it. |
The Birthday Party took over where PIL left off, and probably did a better job of the whole thing I think.
|
Prayers on Fire is better than Junkyard by a mile I'd say, but both are great. So is Hee-Haw.
|
Prayers on Fire is my favourite thing involving Nick Cave. Ever.
This is such a good album, I'm writing a review of it at the moment.
Cool. I tried to write one for Joan of Arc, Dick Cheney, Mark Twain but couldn't really. Plus, I've been reviewing too much Kinsella stuff lately.
Strawberry Jam could be better. Hopefully it will grow with repeated listens, but as of now it's a disappointment. |
That album sucks. Sounds like they forgot how to mix an album.
