yea last song is nice
|
it seems like one of the strongest
relentless as hell |
Anyone who really likes it but hates tech death is a pretentious douche
123 people say songs like track 2 are "brilliant" and then go around hating on like 95% of tech death, its just lol |
Well a lot of tech death is along the same vein of Arsis, so ya most of it's crap.
Any genre has much more shitty bands then good ones. |
i am impressed with your observational skills
|
Ya I know, I thought it was pretty obvious but I guess it had to be pointed out.
You can easily like Gorod and dislike 95% of tech death, I like Animosity and hate 98% of deathcore, ok bad example I'm done. |
yea, but i take it that you think animosity is nothing like "98% of deathcore" but in this case, the gorod song i'm talking about does sound like any other run of the mil tech death song
|
Yeah, but the rest of the album doesn't.
I like Gorod and a couple other tech dm bands, but I agree most of that genre is v boring. Hell, I'm bored so I made a list of the tech dm bands I enjoy the most: Anata, Gorod, Spawn of Possession, Psycroptic,!T.O.O.H.!, Gory Blister, Gorguts, Theory in Practice, Lykathea Aflame (dunno if consider them tech dm or not), Hieronymus Bosch, Alarum... |

Animosity doesn't sound like 98% of deathcore. |
didn't say they did
|
That was a really poor example, lets not dwell on it.
Also what is your definition of a run of the mill tech dm song/band, bad Necrophagist worship? |
Necrophagist isn't that run of the mill they're pretty easily discernable from other tech death bands. Of course I consider Onset the only Necrophagist album
When I think run of the mill tech death I think of bands like Brain Drill, Beneath the Massacre, Nile, Odious Mortem, Hour of Penance type stuffs |
No I'm not saying Necrophagist is run of the mill but that they have many impersonators, every new tech dm bands seems to sound similar to them in some way.

Really? I haven't gotten that impression but maybe you're saying similar to Epitaph (which I haven't listened to much because I don't really like it). I don't hear many bands doing the neo-classical thing although that level of shred and blastbeatery is pretty common these days I'll agree |
Not necessarily the neo-classical thing because that is much harder to replicate than "level of shred and blastbeater".
|

Eh not really it's all harmonic minor scale and even 16th notes actually pretty easy to replicate just listen to some Yngwie |

I'll take a listen to em, I guess it's easier than I thought. |
I'll take a listen to em, I guess it's easier than I thought.
I wasn't serious about listening to Yngwie he sucks but he is the epitomy of neo-classical shred and every one of his songs is in E harmonic minor...so... |
no problem.
i'm still confused though. firstly, was your first impression "****ing awesome" or "mediocre"? because i recall you saying something like "o look new gorod song and guess wat its ****ing awesome", and now you claiming that your first impression was that it was "mediocore" and implying it had to grow on you or be "put into context". and since you are saying that track 2 (and 3) are worrying you at the moment, why didn't it worry you before when we just got the first two songs? wouldn't those tracks indicate the direction of this; their upcoming album? you said the album was shaping up to be better than leading vision at that point.
You have the reading comprehension skills of a four year old. Here was my first impression:
oh hey another new Gorod song and hey look it's incredible what a surprise. it's weird hearing blasting like this in a Gorod song but it's also weird hearing such a huge punk influence behind the kit too. the song might have a little too much shred but the groove halfway through is ridonkulous
When some of you guys were like, "it's okay" or "I'm not feeling it" or whatevre, I said
It will still be a great album.
Which, to you, somehow translated to:
now you agree that the song isn't that good
My latest impression that prompted you to turn into a mentally deficient Magnum P.I was:
It's incredible. Track 2 and 3 (2 was the other one they put out) are a little too ultra-tech at times but then the album just settles into a really, really awesome groove. The guitars and bass are so constant but they aren't really overbearing other than those two tracks. The vocals are a mix between both albums, layered for sure but they have a bit of the edge they had on Neurotripsicks back.
So in short: you are borderline retarded. I said track 2 was incredible when it was streamed. Then I said "it will still be a great album" in response to people who were worried. Then I said, upon hearing the full album (and track 2 along with the 3rd track in context of the entire thing) that they were a little overbearingly tech at times. I also said they kind of reminded me of Obscura songs at times (which is fine if they were Obscura and not Gorod). I never said they were "mediocre at first". You quoted it but that post magically doesn't seem to exist. And even if it did (maybe I ninja-edited to reword it better for morons like you) it's pretty obvious that I meant "at the start of the songs", considering I later added on how they both have incredible grooves and bridges.
123 people say songs like track 2 are "brilliant" and then go around hating on like 95% of tech death, its just lol
I never said I hate 99% of tech death. Kill yourself. I don't know why you're trying so hard to make a liar out of me but you're failing miserably. |
whoa you really went out of your way with that post tyler sounds like somebody's got a guilty conscience
|
Frustration will do that.
|
I just can't get over how stupid the kid is.
|
tl;dr
but good job, tyler keeping the kiddies where they belong. |

Well considering he's been going on for pages about how I think track 2 and 3 are "brilliant" I think he was.
|
Have you been doing a lot of ketamine tyler?
You seem like you have a bit of an egocentric paranoia going |
