Greg made some bad decisions for SST towards the end, but he basically invented indie rock.

maybe if he wasnt high all the time he could have managed the label better, like MacKaye did with Dischord. i guess he really did have the straight edge!

Thats the thing. I can imagining him high going "Whoa.... these jazz fusions bands are AWESOME!. I think I'll sign them all on SST!".

Over the last few weeks I've been listening to them a lot. Have you heard their record with Timothy Leary? Its trippy as all hell.

It kind sucked when they went electronic but those albums are done well.
