yeah i really like his syths and how he layers it into the music with the overall noisiness and makes it sound beautiful at times

bullshit tradition is a good song

hahaha |
so primitive graven image is pretty cool
lol, "traversing the awesome night", i gotta dl that im super intrigued
that album is super generic but still pretty sweet. i like the newest one better but idk you'll prob like awesome night (lol) more.
ill just dl both
old one is more thrashy and 90's black metal and the new one is more death metal and has lots of more "progressive" (using that word lightly) elements
anyone like white wolves kommando? im listening to white wolves power right now and its mad good, all of you that like raw black metal would def like this a lot
It's funny you mention them. I just saw them on M-A like ten minutes ago, and so I tried looking up some of their stuff on slsk, but had no luck.
found their first two demos on blogsearch
slsk sucks
i have heard differently

Yes, please use this thread for actual black metal discussion; all of you who decided to spam up previous threads with imbecilic nonsense, go elsewhere.
:chug::smash::chug: |
I always found Traversing the Awesome Night to be pretty average.
new album is definitely better
slsk sucks
never used it but it seems like it was at one point the way to dl music |
like 4 years ago it was how i got music but blogs have pretty much made it obsolete
way back in the day i used kazaa and limewire, goddamn they sucked so bad, fuckin mad viruses and shit, plus i like downloading entire albums not single songs fuck dat
slsk is still great
it has found me many an album blogs and torrents couldn't help me with |
I just use blogs for underground stuff and http://www.psychocydd.co.uk/ for torrents.
i can ususally find 90% what i want on blogs, and if i cant find them, i ask for it from people on last.fm
^^ same here
i use torrents strictly for movies and tv shows. |
i can ususally find 90% what i want on blogs, and if i cant find them, i ask for it from people on last.fm
last.fm is my last, last resort only when I get in those obsessive discography collecting moods. first stop is usually waffles.fm and what.cd, then blogs, then slsk, and it usually ends there. I might try emule as a last resort (never underrate this as a resource, guys), then see how much it'll cost to actually buy the fucking thing via ebay, amazon and discogs. begging for links on last.fm comes after that |
idk i have literally never not been able to find what i was looking for on blogs the only time i've used a torrent for music is if there is a higher quality torrent for an album than i can find on blogs
i dont even use torrents anymore. I dont see the use. I have netflix.

How come when people talk about Dimmu Borgir they never mention the great older stuff? (I'm not talking about around here. I've seen it mentioned in some older posts, I think.) The video for In Death's Embrace, live at Dynamo, 1998 is like the greatest thing I've ever seen. Shagrath is so on fire. Would make me like to just tear out my heart and offer it to him. Also love everything recorded in Poland that year, and, Koln in 97.
Dimmu Borgir is the only band I can quite tolerate doing a symphonic style in Black Metal. I put them down in my own head a lot, lol, before I realized that 'Shagrath from Dimmu is that awesome guy in Fimbulwinter', hee. (Shagrath is a really hot guy who goes way out of his way to appear less attractive. (?) Sigh, like, ok, whatever, eeh. I just don't get it.) Anyway, was a Fimbulwinter fan for quite a while, but, never really gave Dimmu a chance. I would never put them down, now that I've seen them. They awesome to behold. |
#smh type shit

I remember you being unable to find Depeche Mode's Violator at one time |
Been meaning to checkout the original version of Stormblast for awhile but it keeps slipping my mind.
Might d/l it later. edit: Violator is a brilliant album. |
