I have the MOP book, what about me???? I love the photos in the middle, I wanted to cut them out but decided not to.
Hey cookies sound great. Sorry but I've gotta skip lunch today and it really sucks.

Back to 'Tallica........ Hey father jack, do you have the MOP guitar book? It has some really cool pics of the band during that tour.
No I wish I had some metallica books tho. I always see them in music shops and have a quick skim through, but I'm always too broke to buy them.

Father_Jack 09-28-2005 02:39 PM

The punk enter sandman kicks some major ***, and I hate that saying, but it really does. Anything else cool in these books?

And does anyone have the so what book?

Thor 09-28-2005 02:39 PM

One of my favorite metallica pictures is the one on the back of Kill Em All. They just look so funny and it makes me want to laugh every time I see it.

Jev 09-28-2005 02:40 PM

I have the big So What book if that's what you mean. I tried reading through it but got 3/4 through and got distracted.

Yeah, that's the one. I wanted to get it but can't find it nowhere. I also doubt I would read it all.

Yeah, and you can tell it's so fake. That's why it's funny as hell.

Oh well then that's my bad I shoulda made it a more open question.

/slaps the back of right hand

I really dug the photos on pages 32 and 33. The group photo on 34 was cool too. It just struck me as them trying to look tougher than they really are.

Hey thor, that's a funny ass avatar. So how many 1ups has mario score thus far?

Well he's at 99 because that's as high as the life meter goes in Mario. I'm sure he's gotten a couple thousand humps in by now.

lightningmetal666 09-28-2005 02:52 PM

I guess the princess lives up to so many blonde jokes that I've heard. :-*

The pics should be right after the end of Welcome Home (Sanitarium) in the guitar book.

Jev 09-28-2005 02:58 PM

yeah they are. 3 pages of them right? Or am I missing out?

lightningmetal666 09-28-2005 03:05 PM
yeah they are. 3 pages of them right? Or am I missing out?
Yeah just those three pages. The first 2 all have some great stuff. Page 3 is just a group photo.

Joe 09-28-2005 04:48 PM

Um, spam?

So i got my driver's license

My guitar is still in the shop... so no fade to black playing... =(
I was cranking Metallica all day. It was perfect out, windows down and extremely loud music.

Deth 09-28-2005 07:18 PM

After about 2 or 3 months without listening to Metallica (I detoured into death metal and post-rock territory), I busted out RTL again and I regret those few months.

Ride The Lightning = Greatest Metallica song
hahahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!

Here's a rhetorical question: Are you half-retarded? I put my life on the line when I say the ONLY reason Metallica became huge is because of Cliff Burton. He saved them talented fools from playing cover songs. And it's not a shame he died...He's laughing at them
Yes you are quite a dumb dick because it seems like everyone else is agreeing with me. Metallica became huge after the black album. Umm he kinda made them copy parts of songs to be truthful. Umm have you ever heard of Misfits. Listen to Helena and Sanitarium and comment again. Look at garage inc. they were based one misfits til he died. He was great and metallicas music was better when he was around but you need to think a little more often.

Why do you use the Titans of Thrash avatar when you don't even post in the thread?

Britton 09-28-2005 09:57 PM

Hey Joe...LoL Fave song of al time. anyway what's wrong with you're guitar?

My amp got it's new speaker and soldering today. So I might have it on time
to play with my new Drummer this weekend!

Thanks for those punk covers Happy, When I saw that Email address I flipped
I was like omg a rooski!...I havn't listened to them yet cause I got The R&M thing today. So I'll get around to it tommarrow.

I'm not sure how tallica will sound through my new amp...it should be better then my last amp though.

Ride The Lightning = Greatest Metallica song
i agree, ride the lightning has to be one of the greatest metallica songs ever, because of its overwhelming solo structure and all around song structure - intro, ending, bridge, transition, it all clicks together perfectly. i wouldnt say its the best just bc i have my other opinions, but definately one of the best.
Metallica became huge after the black album.
yes this is true, but i think their music was better in the 80s...doesnt everyone agree? yeah their stuff in the 90s kicked a ss...im a complete metallica fan and am in love with all of their stuff, however, they had their mojo going in the 80s definately, they were crazy then. i've seen a decline in song structure and quality, not making the more recent songs bad songs...but i liked the metallica of the 80s much better.

metalmilitia101 09-28-2005 10:24 PM

and as long as people were talking about gear stuff...my friend just moved and dropped in my garage a black $1500 jackson, 150w marshall amp, crybaby wah, some funky distortion pedal, and a 300w+ (havent figured out yet) PA. awesome.
is he in a band? if he is could you send me their site or myspace or whatever
no, right now he just graduated from high school and he's moving to new orleans to fix houses for six months....then moving to southern cali and playing music hopefully in the southern cali/ los angeles/ san fransisco spots.

Chu 09-29-2005 12:12 AM

Unfortunately had Metallica never released the Black album, I'm guessing some people here would never have even heard of them?

Fade To Black is the best, and I envy Joe's tone.  :upset:

I finally had a jam with Slapping Penguin and he's **** good.. I just wish I was as good as him so he didn't feel so bad when playing Metallica songs :p

slash89 09-29-2005 12:52 AM

The 2. Master of Puppets solo was the first really fast guitar solo I learned.
Anyway, does anybody know if Metallica is recording an new cd, or if they are planning to?

Jev 09-29-2005 03:16 AM

They are definately planning to, they should go into the studio soon.

Thor 09-29-2005 05:28 AM
Ride The Lightning = Greatest Metallica song
It has its moments, but it doesn't captivate me all the way through. If you would have said RTL = Greatest Metallica album, then you would have definetly been correct by my standards.

And please, don't go upside my head because of this. :thumb:
