Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 07:16 PM

So I was at a bookstore today reading all the guitar magazines. I actually bought Guitar World's Bass Guitar magazine because Tim Commerford was on it and its a great read but I never understood why these magazines review equipment thats over $5,000, who do they think the consumer is buying a $4.99 magazine with no tax!!!

Oh and I asked this girl with the whole librarian look of brownish hair and dark thick glasses where the softcore pornography could be found and showed her my driving ID :D

seriously??

dougefresh 08-04-2005 07:18 PM

so heres the deal-

marching band is a big commitment for me, and i can not miss any shows/practices/etc. thrice is coming to my town october 22, and of course, with my luck, it lands on a performance day. i can't see them, and i cant go out of town to see them because my parents think it will interfere with my school work.

:upset: how bad does that suck?

poprocks&coke 08-04-2005 07:20 PM

Run away!

haha.

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 07:27 PM

I think Axiom is so hard on bass... My mind just doesn't want to do it :upset:

poprocks&coke 08-04-2005 07:28 PM

I'm tired.

Night, thread.

Ever tried Maxwell Murder?

I can play it at full speed.....except for the solo :upset:

Another fun Rancid song on bass is "Roots Radical"

Yeah I still think Axiom > Maxwell Murder but I like Maxwell Murder the song better.

God someone said Matt Freeman sucked too in the punk forum.

MattSharpIsCool 08-04-2005 07:48 PM

Its the other way around for me....I like the song Axiom more, but Maxwell Murder is oh so much tougher. I can play some of the Axiom solo, but none of MM.

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 07:58 PM

MM is basically me flopping a dildo up and down :upset:

Bitch, what

hey, you're not cory! 08-04-2005 09:24 PM

The reason for the closing of the "Most Emo Song Title, Part II" thread is stupid and unfair. There was nothing wrong with that thread.

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 09:27 PM

Thread got really weak at nights with Cob, Excursions, and CUEK :upset:

Besides, the whole thing about the song titles not actually being emo, and the bands not being emo, and that part about this forum not even being an emo forum, and then that other thing about it being a stupid thread in the first place, I agree.

Just ordered Flogging Molly tickets. Yay me.

Meh. It wasn't a thread about emo music though.

It was just a fun thread. Who cares if the bands arent emo...it was playing off of the "omgz i m soooooo emo i kut myslf" stereotype.

I understand Reiner is just trying to help out in the pop punk forum, since we are pretty much modless at the moment, but it wouldnt have hurt anything for that thread to stay open, its fun.

thomas is fast 08-04-2005 09:50 PM

I <3 Flogging Molly A LOT.

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 10:23 PM

My brother>you.

:D

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 10:28 PM

Axiom is harder on a technical standpoint IMO... Maxwell Murder is just bleeding fetus speed.

Roots Radical is one of their best songs...

thomas is fast 08-04-2005 10:31 PM

Dead Bodies is fun to play.

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 10:44 PM

I dont understand why people give Indestructible such crap. IMO its probably the weakest album but it was one of the best recorded/produced.

:upset: Tim Armstrong

thomas is fast 08-04-2005 10:46 PM
:upset: Tim Armstrong
I wonder what Lars thinks about The Transplants. I can't believe Tim Armstrong is in a band that has a song called "Ganstas and Thugs". I want to cry every time it's on MTV. :upset:

Understanding In a Crash 08-04-2005 10:53 PM

I love every project Tim Armstrong has been in, even when he was in the cypress hill video and I was like WTF hes everywhere. Lars really did shape Rancid though, you can tell in the albums where he wasn't their and when he was. I think the most contributing thing they needed was his vocals and melody.

And I'm going to sleep.

I just had the satisfaction of beating the "Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets" GBA game. It was awesome. :D
