I had chance to get that on DVD but chose the Last Waltz instead...I have no regrets.
Yea Last Waltz was a better choice, but get Berkley next chance you get its just fan-fucking-tastic man. |
I have the Hendrix and the Band of Gypsys live at Fillmore, and it is pretty good. Real footage of the concert and all the songs. The documentary part is pretty cool too. Where he plays Isabella with that pearl SG is so nice.

Band of Gypsys live at Fillmore or Jimi Live at Berkley?
|
Band of Gypsys live at Fillmore

The Last Waltz is also really good, How The West Was Won was really good too..not really a fan of Frampton.. :\
Ooh, Before The Flood and Unplugged(Eric Clapton) are also very good.
not a fan of unplugged. much prefer one more for the road, 24 nights, or derek and the dominoes live at the fillmore east |

my friend has it and she recommends it, it involves him playing for the most part |
status quo anyone?
|
status quo anyone?
No. |
one more car one more rider is what i meant by one more for the road. my bad. bah messing up my album titles, i'm falling apart.
in other news in the guitar poll the race for 5th is heating up robert fripp has made a comeback and is now tied with neil young each with 9. the current 5th place holder, bucket head, holds onto a lead of one vote over the two of them. the race for first is over though. despite a strong early showing, morello just can't stay in the game against hendrix. now if neil young or fripp would deplace bucket head i'd be a very happy man... |

Get ready for a another poll in the next 5 min. ;)

Buckethead's still a way better guitarist than Neil IMO. |

Hahaha  To tell you the truth, I don't like Buckethead. I acknowledge his skill, but that doesn't mean I like him. He just doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather be stranded on an island with one Neil Young song, than all of Bucketheads songs. |
I have one of Buckethead's solo albums and I think it's absolutely amazing. I also think CCBBB is fantastic.

Yeah, and Neil has given more to rock then Bucket Head. I mean it may be just me but how much you spread your influence is a big part of how you should be ranked in the greatist guitarist polls. |
I <3 Queen
And Pink Floyd, Rush, Led Zeppelin, The Jimi Hendrix Experience, Black Sabbath and other stuff :D |
ok boys, i hate to mess with history, but i think i may have to edit the first post so that we don't keep getting ppl posting stuff related to page 1 on page 1137... give me ur opinion first though... should i do it?

Very true. Although you'd probably wanna wait like a decade before you rate Bucketheads influence on music. It's easier to see influences when you look in retrospect. edit- No! Don't edit the first post! That's sacred ground. I think I had it memorized at one point of time. Although I suppose I can't stop you. It's up to you. SonorKen already edited it anyways. |

Nah anybody whose posts are good and arn't just stupid noobs will just ignore those ones. I mean if you gonna edit I think the most you should do is just say not to post stuff about things that haven't been talked about for a day or two. |
It lures n00bs which can be good and bad but I like making fun of them.

Last night on PBS they were selling some sixties DVD type thing. They showed clips of various sixties bands, and Steppenwolf was like the live guest. They rocked out pretty hard and sounded very good for how long they've been doing this. I'm not actually sure how many of them are from the original band...it might only be John Kay.
But anyways...their keyboard player was phenomenal. No one else was doing anything very impressive at all, but man that keyboard player was playing some crazy stuff. Unfortunately, John Kays guitar was turned up louder than any other instrument, even though he barely played anything. Anyone know who this keyboard player could be? Definitely not one of the original members of Steppenwolf (I'm 99% sure) |

yea that's what i was planning on doing... but i'll hold off on it for now... |
Lol, I love noobs that come in here and go.
I love Classic Rock, I have so many band t-shirts and my favorite bands are: Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, The Who, Pink Floyd. |

You may be right, but I really don't think Buckethead will influence as many as Neil did, and still is, no matter how much time we give him, though I may be wrong. |
anyways my picks for the new guitarist poll
1. jimmy page 2. pete townshend 3. steve howe 4. alex lifeson 5. robert randolph i'm saving my vote till i see who needs it |
Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane Over the Sea is awsome I suggest you guys cheak them out. There a Irish sounding psychedelic folk band.
Hey Moon, how about them G.P. samples? |
I really hope Johnny Winter wins. I know he won't but he at least deserves to do well. I think hes as good as Page, only he didn't steal any songs.
