Cygnus Inter Anates 08-07-2006 01:56 PM

It was hard to play at first because I'm one of those queers that plays silly open chords, but after playing it over and over for about 15 minutes i could play most of it.

and I don't even like Iron Maiden.

Still an awesome song to play though.
Not me. :)

I just downloaded a bunch of Replacements songs, because I only had 'We're coming out", which was very Hüsker Dü-ish, the rest doesn't sound much like it, though. Explain, anyone?
The Replacements and Husker Du both started out as hardcore bands. While Husker Du still had a lot of hardcore remnants on their landmark album Zen Arcade, The 'Mats had pretty much abandoned that style by the time of THEIR opus Let It Be. However, there was ONE harder song on that album, and that's "We're Comin Out." Everything else is in the post-punk territory, and even leaning toward alt-country later in their career. That's just the way those two bands were, evolving into something more significant.

basically the replacements chagne their sound alot.

I like Painful the best, but I think most people will say I Can Hear The Heart Beating As One. Either of those two, I guess.

Oh, that makes sense. I was just a bit shocked is all, because I liked We're Comin' Out a lot and I expected a whole bunch like it, but I can learn to love this kind of replacements, surely. *tries*

Guys I'm drinking alcohol for the first time in a while and I feel kinda funny. I don't know how to describe it. It's kahlua, if that helps.

Also, I started teaching myself a song on guitar for the first time in months the other day and I'm actually doing pretty good at it
