Victory was home to Earth Crisis, how much hardcore can you get?
Victory was home to Earth Crisis, how much hardcore can you get?
Yes yes, true. |
and ALL OUT WAR.
|
Victory didn't ruin Thursday. Island did.
That's not what I'm talking about. Victory put some 'fine text' in the contract (I think 'signing' bands in hardcore is ****ing stupid, but that's beside the point) that if they left Victory, they'd have to leave for a bigger label. THat's ****ed up. And Earth Crisis ****ing SUCK. "How much more hardcore can you get" what the **** man, you don't know ****. |
thursday signed it, their fault
|
It's just one of those stupid "No, we don't want you to go" things.
Anyway, to change the discussion: What do you think of 'signing' bands to a label in punk rock / hardcore? |

And "signing" bands in hardcore is not stupid. Look at Revelation, Indecision, Bridge Nine, Deathwish, Facedown, Thorp, etc. |
all that matters is that Thursday didnt break up

Signing bands with contracts has no place in hardcore. Hardcore is a counter-culture, and what's the point of a counter-culture if it's just a mirror of the culture it's resisting?
Hardcore is against capitalism etc, well signing contracts is to keep a band on your label TO MAKE MORE MONEY, obviously. |

Hardcore is about "stage dives and high fives". Judge were on Revelation Bold were on Revelation Bad Brains were on Victory Youth of Today were on Revelation In My Eyes were on Revelation Floorpunch were on Equal Vision and on and on |

the song "firestorm" rules. |
Indeed it does. Their whole Firestorm era rules. Some of their newer (or what was new back when they were still together) isn't the best. But Firestorm freaking rules.
seriously, if you were in a band would you rather do all the work yourself, or just play, and have the label do everything else (pretty much)
And about labels making money...the kid must not know how hard it is to work with about a dozen (if not more) touring bands. Money becomes a MAJOR issue.
HARDCORE IS ABOUT BEING EDGE YOU FAGGOT
i thought you said you quit claiming edge. |
When I say Hardcore I don't mean corn fag and when you see 3 X's I ain't reading a porn mag. See you just confused like a gangsta with an organe rag. I'm watching the scene split up like a torn bag.
|
but all the fakers fall out taking the wrong route, and now kids wonder who im making this song 'bout.
|
i'm really digging count me out now, i need to get one of their cds.
|
The edge is strong with this one.
|
see back then my mom thought all my friends were satanists
and now theyre not even my friends, theyre just acquaintances. |
When I came home from coll-edge I was starting to rap,
Everybody was trading in their X's for cartons and packs. |
The rest of these cats think weed, sex can help them get their steez back,
And they wonder where they keys at. |
Yall turn the red light on for a one night stand
Becoming whores for some empty Coors and Bud Light cans. |
is tornpictures a joke poster or something?
|
Way to ruin in faggot!
|
Nah, just a pretentious kid who thinks Saetia own the hc scene.
|
what would Trophy Scars be considered?
