Awesome.... How did the old guys fare? Did both bands make it through their sets? :p

metdrummer 06-19-2004 07:04 AM

Yeah, how were they?

Girl-Playing-Bass 06-19-2004 07:38 AM

... they were better than i expected actually!
Motörhead was really awesome even though it was raining like hell when they were playing. They played really good, they blew up an amp and everything.
Priest was amazing. I wans't sure about how Halford would sing. But he screams just as great as on the records. They played all the good stuff (Painkiller, Hell bent for leather, the Ripper, Living after Midnight etc.) and Halford came on stage with his Harley, it was great! But you can really tell he's a faggot though. The outfits... gay!
But it was great nonetheless.

Cold lake is not that bad, man. It has some good tracks, My favorite is cherry orchards.

Griffin_Page 06-19-2004 07:40 PM

Hey thrashers, I can't believe I forgot about this! Anyway, this dude Nick at my school loves the pop-punk and the nu-metal and has a sort-of band going on.. the website is hilarious.. you should read every page, how he describes every detail of his wal-mart guitar and ****ty little amp. It's great. http://www.angelfire.com/realm2/skater_punk/index2.html. Prepare for quite a laugh.

As long as hes having fun man, and doing what he likes.

a8o 06-19-2004 09:54 PM

Yeah but the site sucks balls. I didn't exactly laugh cause I haven't heard their music (the production on AJFA is awful but the album's still good, for example). Maybe they're the next genius punk rock band we'll all be talking about in 10 years as being all influential and stuff.

Or maybe not.
to buy or not to buy? Slayer-reign in blood vinyl for £40 hmmm
Too expensive. Try something...new!

a8o 06-19-2004 10:01 PM
Recent hauls:
Miles Davis - Kind of Blue (yusss!!) $10

I suggest you all listen to Kind of Blue... it's not metal, but it is one of the greatest albums ever made. If you don't like it, you're a closed-minded fuckwit that I will never talk to again :thumb:
Yeah, but I can't LISTEN to the ****. I'd rather listen to Lou Reed, dude.

JMetallica 06-19-2004 10:29 PM
Too expensive. Try something...new!
WAAAAY too expensive... I could get it for $30 AU ... and that equates to about 10 - 15 pounds.

JMetallica 06-20-2004 07:35 AM

*Goes to Melbourne*

I'm getting like $2000 tax pack July 1, so I'm going to spend it on:

Drumkit
CD's
Playstation 2 :D

Quorthon's better than drugs. Half the people probably didn't know who Quorthon was!! Check out some of the recent fights... Paris, France lost to Paris Hilton!

manuscriptreplica 06-20-2004 08:21 AM

I tried to post this as a thread, but it won't work. I'll do it later. In the meantime, I'll post it here.

This is gold.

1. Get some death metal CD's, preferably brutal death (Cryptopsy, Cannibal Corpse, Deeds of Flesh etc)
2. Get a car with an excellent stereo.
3. Put the CD in your stereo.
4. Wait till Saturday night, at about 2-3 am.
5. Cruise down to your local main street, where all the nightclubs are.
6. Search for the most crowded nightclub (preferably one with lots of people lining up) and park in front of it.
7. Wind down your windows.
8. Crank the music as loud as you can handle.
9. Enjoy!!!

sensitiveorgan00 06-20-2004 09:58 AM
