I'll be happy to tell him:

You can't. The site was disabled over a year ago.

I don't really like LaBrie's voice but I like the cover in general. It's not that I like the covers better, I just like them. Trivium did some pretty awesome stuff too.

fix'd again.
im just sayin he shouldnt be in someone elses conversation. plus i wa right. thor started this
Ok now you've really done it.

Lemme set some rules here.

This, a.k.a, Metallica Inc. is a THREAD

Threads are parts of FORUMS

Inside of threads, people talk about various things in a group.

If you would like to have a "conversation" with Thor, I suggest take it to AIM.

That's how you edit someone's post.

LaBrie did an amazing with the cover of Number of the Beast. He sounds almost like Bruce.

LaBrie was actually asked to join Maiden after Bruce left, but he stayed with Dream Theater. I think that was a great move.

Agreed. It's like Mustaine staying with Metallica. I much prefer two awesome band then one band that could have been worse.

I'm pretty sure they won't. They might leak some riffs to Metallica club members but not to us normal folk.

And yes, McLaughlin is pretty awesome. As is DiMeola

musicforlife 04-04-2006 04:04 PM

When is Metallica going to release thier new album they started working on?

I think as a thread we've guessed anywhere from this upcoming winter to two summers down the road. I think it'll be released Fall 2007

Have you heard them? If you don't care I'd like you to leave.
You think it will be that long?
Kill 'Em All took 21 days. St. Anger took over 2 years.

Awesome. I just hope they lose the annoying drum sound from St. Anger. Also, I hope they bring back guitar solos.

I think they will bring back the solos after the fan response of St. Anger.

fix'd! gotcha.

Yea who knows about when the next album is coming out. They've done a ton of work but they're doing various shows all over the world now.

JacksonDude675 04-04-2006 04:13 PM

you guys are gay. metallica will never be what they were back when they were a thrash metal band. now that kirk has no solos. Back in the day, metallica was awesome. after load. they were all dead to me. except kirk. hes still a kick asse guitarist

musicforlife 04-04-2006 04:14 PM

I bet this might be one of their last albums, they're going to release.

You know what I hate more than closed-minded people? People that think "gay" is an insult.

3 questions:

1) How old are you?
2) Have you ever seen them live?
3) Have you heard of Garage Inc.?
What did I type wrong?
Metallica site, not sight.

GenuineImitation 04-04-2006 04:15 PM

Thats 3 questions Joe.

I actually agree with you on the Kirk part. He still is an amazing guitarist.

Soul_Under_Arrest 04-04-2006 04:16 PM

Lars said he's focusing on his drum sound for this album. Solos will be on it and James is doing a new vocal pattern.

P.S. Kirk has done solo up until St. Anger and James has done them on all the albums (yes St. Anger had solos but maybe like 3 seconds and they didn't cut through)

Joe 04-04-2006 04:18 PM

I haven't the slightest clue what you are talking about, GI!

Kirk is still amazing. James is still amazing. Rob is still amazing. Lars wasn't ever that great.

And yes, everything that Mr. Freeze has said is true.
I bet this might be one of their last albums, they're going to release.
Tell that to the Rolling Stones...

musicforlife 04-04-2006 04:21 PM

I heard Rob was on the remastered 2002 additions of Diary of a Madman, and Blizzard of Ozz. Was he any good on those?
I heard Rob was on the remastered 2002 additions of Diary of a Madman, and Blizzard of Ozz. Was he any good on those?
I don't know. I was never really all that big of an Ozzy fan. I think there's an official Ozzy thread around here somewhere and they would probably know.

GenuineImitation 04-04-2006 04:23 PM

I haven't heared the remastered versiosn, but I assume he was good. He's Rob after all.

Aw3someman 04-04-2006 04:25 PM

I have to disagree. He fits in very nicely with Metallica but his material seems quite bland to me compared to other people. Listen to some Yngwie, Vai, or Paul Gilbert and then tell me he's an amazing guitartist.

Soul_Under_Arrest 04-04-2006 04:26 PM

After this next album Metallica is stil due for another one. They were in a contract for 10 studio albums.

---edit---
Listen to some Allan Holdsworth and tell me Vai is amazing.

GenuineImitation 04-04-2006 04:27 PM

As good as Yngwie is, I can't stand him. I don't think he's very creative.

Kirk is a little bit repetitive, but some of his solos are absolutely amazing.
