Well, with blues and jazz .. there are realy no wrong notes, provided that you play the 'bad' ones on beats taht arent as 'important' and that you cover up well...

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 10:37 PM

not that it'll help you or anything, but playing jazz is so much fun. :)

ridethelightning 12-01-2004 10:38 PM

With some practice, you could do this thing my instructor is having me work on... just take a scale and run it backwards, but starting from 8, and play:

8,7,6,5,4,7,6,5,4,3,6,5,4,3,5,4,3,2,4,3,2,1,3,2,1,5,1.

Something like that... that make any sense? The faster you go, the better it sounds.... it takes some gtetting used to.

I've heard really good things about brice. I haven'e had any first-hand experience, but the price seems right.

:amaze:

ridethelightning 12-01-2004 11:27 PM

If I had the money and needed another bass, I'd definately at least look at them seriously, and probably get one.

ridethelightning 12-01-2004 11:37 PM

yea, i have my sr400 and love it, but i want a 6. this brice is cheep, seems good quality. ill give it a shot once i get some money. i currently shovel my neighbours driveway for 8 bucks each time:) and more if theres more snow. plus being in winterpeg manitoba. i should make some money this winter:). with the bp200 and ashdown mag210t being covered by santa, i should be able to get the brice by spring. by then hopefully i can get a real job too.

PaulSimonon 12-01-2004 11:38 PM

You read my paper? It was on Aruban economics.

ridethelightning 12-01-2004 11:44 PM

PaulSimonon 12-01-2004 11:53 PM
