That's pretty much exactly what I think.
I'm taking it you've never seen Top Gear? It's like as far from chavvy as you could imagine. It's really funny, and it's just some grown men testing out cars.

Lord Abortion 06-11-2006 03:29 PM
Top Gear makes retarded teenagers with a problem with authority go out and mug people?
No, I mean that Chavs tend to like fast cars, and that's a programme about fast cars.

If you can't see the link then it's not my problem.

Of course I have seen Top Gear, and I'm not suggesting that the people on it are Chavvy, or the programme itself is, merely the whole concept of liking fast cars is a chavvy one.

FVG27 06-11-2006 03:33 PM

So non-chavs like to travel in the slow mobile? No I'm sorry- that's a little too generalised for me. Pretty much everyone I know prefers a fast car to a slow car.

PAJJ 06-11-2006 03:38 PM

Aren't chavs into modding cars anyway, like pimping up a corsa, not super cars like they have on top gear.

FVG27 06-11-2006 03:39 PM

Yep, spoilers and souped up engines.

 Yeah, okay I get your point, maybe I'm just biased because A. I can't drive, and B. Talk of cars bores the shit out of me.

Meh, round here they're not that inventive. They just buy a clapped out old Renault 5 and stick an exhaust you could fit a basketball up on the back.

The brighter ones of the species might put some kind of a body kit on, but it's rarely the same colour as the rest of the car. :-/

In unrelated news, I've had a great week - just bought a new car on tuesday (alright, that's slightly related), and last night I pulled for the first time in what must be far, far too long... :D

I don't care about cars, and i'm not a fan of driving, top gears still pretty good though, although i tune out when they start properly chating about a car.

I shall post you one

But listening to Colonel Claypool's Fearless Flying Frog Brigade earlier, I really really really want one of these, only in 3 colour sunburst before I go to uni :(

I also want to finish building my Meturghl \m/ guitar

They truly are awesome discs. Let alone the fact that they're live, they pwn the vast majority of studio albums as it is

Lord Abortion 06-11-2006 04:01 PM

Yeah, the second one sounds like it's gonna be brilliant. Animals is a wierd enough album as it is, without Claypool getting to it:D

Patrick O))) 06-11-2006 04:01 PM

Ohhhhhhhh what car?

Im buying a VW golf in the not to distant future. It looks like theres a lot of good ones going for about £600 :D:D

Nightvision 06-11-2006 04:12 PM

I got one of the new model 206's. I didn't really like Peugeots much, but this one I was really taken with. I also realised (after I bought it) that it's got alloys and wider profile tyres, which would have been pretty expensive to put on myself. :D

Yeah, golfs are nice cars - quite reliable too - don't go anywhere near Fiats, they're bloody rustbuckets.
