No he got mad cause people didn't like his rules.

conniption 08-06-2005 03:02 PM

hardcore is being slowly ruined by kids who think it is a trend. straight edge is also being ruined by kids who have x's on their hands and dont know what it means, and think it is cool to be straight edge and dont know what being straight edge stands for, what the ****. hardcore is not a trend.

THANK YOU CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!

...and actually it's getting ruined by those who listen to hardcore because it's a trend now, yet they don't consider it a trend, and think that them listening to Throwdown makes 'em XHARDxCOREX. As for Straight Edge, it's getting ruined by militant fucks like the xBBPx.

Your calling him obvious?
Your calling him obvious?
No, I'm calling what he said obvious. It's something everyone here, for the most part, already knows.

You are both right, though that was a dumb thing to say in the community thread for hardcore. The posers are ruining it because of the trend and it is being ruined by the mallcore fags. And fake straight-edge and militiant straight edge weakens it as a cause.

_Tyler 08-06-2005 03:28 PM

Nothings being ruined. Hardcore is still alive and well.

Converge#12 08-06-2005 03:29 PM

Ok this is off topic but does anyone know where the members of Give Up the Ghost are now I mean are they in bands?

Edit: I know Alex(the drummer) is in Last of the Famous.

...but see, I wasn't trying to prove a point, I just felt like adding to what he had said. The xBBPx, or xBring Back Prohibitionx, is a militant straight-edge group based in Reno, NV I believe. There's like one xBBPx dude in Texas, and everyone hates him. This is one of their sites: http://seventhdagger.com/

So it seems that stupidity isn't limited to drunks and stoners.

123 (duh)
But honestly, today I saw a bulletin of someone on MySpace that went along the lines of this "OK U GUYZ ADD MY NEW AIM SCREN NAEM hXcEDGEX BECAUSE I AM NOW!!" A little visit to her page showed me how "hXc" she is. Favorite bands: All American Rejects, Hawthrone Hights, Fall Out Boy, and other "awesome" bands. Anyways, I really hope that this trend passes already...

40 oz 2 freedom 08-06-2005 04:03 PM

Yeah, I'm siked.
