I also thought it was quite interesting how he used Surf Rock for the soundtrack of a Spaghetti Western type of movie like Kill Bill Vol. 2. It fits oddly well.

I've been watching the Who Live 8 performance all day. Pete and Roger are still so badass.

Pete can still rock out after forty-odd years. Roger, too.

Roger's voice is still great. Tomorrow they're showing a bunch of the Live 8 performances uncut, commercial free, because so many people bitched about how they cut off stuff. 10-3 on Vh1, and 3-8 on MTV, I think.

Yea, I think it's a little overrated though.

I'd rather see the Who: I downloaded PF, but haven't seen The Who's preformance yet.

Does anyone here like Rod Stewart? Maybe not his later albums, but you'd be suprised how much his early albums rock out. "The Rod Stewart Album" and "A Nod is as good as a wink to a blind horse" are his first and second, or something like that. He had an awesome band behind him, and it all sounds very raw and gritty (at least it does on vinyl), which is something you don't hear on on his latter albums.
