I can tell, Santanas tone is instantly recognisable to me. I never assumed Kirk had lost it but it is nice to see him expressing himself again.

I look forward to hearing that when I go home today.

yeahah. kirk is awesome. probably the most unchanging member of metallica...hes great.

He's not that good, uses the same scale for a lot of his solos and abuses the Wah.

that's just how kirk is. so He likes the wah...that doesn't mean
he's not a good player,

I can't wait for a new wah solo on the next album

I agree. If he doesn't begin to experiment with his solos they will begin to really bore me. But in saying that hes still a reasonably good guitarist, just not as good as James :D

One of the reasons his solos weren't all that on Reload ect. was because he was forced to make up one a day. Normally it takes him a week or two to write them so he was under pressure.

my friend mistaken metallica for santana. i was verry pissed at him. how the **** can you mistake metallica for santana?

maybe the recent colaboration with santana confused him.

Or the fact that Kirk looked exactly like Santana on S&M?
