Me and my drummer were 45 minutes late to a band practice today, because our drummer wanted to buy shorts. And food. And he can't walk and eat apparently. We told our guitarist we were on our way even though we were late.

So we get to the practice room, and he isn't there. So we mess about for half an hour, waiting for him to show before deciding to ring him and ask where he was. He said he'd already been there and left after 45 minutes waiting because he didn't want to wait us to decide to come down. Weffle. Was majorly pissed. He wasn't even going to tell us that he'd been and gone, he would have just left us waiting. I was majorly pissed. If he'd waited like 2 minutes, all would have been fine. Wasted journey - I walked half way across the city to make that practice. He said he was better at home, because at least now he has something to do.

But I get home, and he's on MSN listening to Paramore -_-

Mr. Pickle 06-24-2009 12:59 PM

The only thing good about that story was the end. You got pwn'd by Paramore.

fatbandit 06-24-2009 01:10 PM

Exactly :(

BenJammin 06-24-2009 03:01 PM

My phono preamp came in finally. Now I can play my vinyls at a regular volume level, with some actual sound clarity.

now I know why my dad laughed when I bought an 8 track player.

seriously, I have broken three monitors this year after finding that an mp3 it took forever to find was ripped from vinyl. I'm not into the hissing and crackling.

or being really stoned and dropping the LPs trying to put them on.

or the parties when guys would try to set the needle on a particular song, but miss and scratch the side of the record and break a $50 stylus.

**** 33s.

I have no idea where that came from. repressed memories I guess.

I lol'd.

...on the inside. So that pickle didn't know I was admitting his hilarity.

gaslight 06-24-2009 08:30 PM

Brutal dude so at the end of your day you wasted time getting across town only to miss band practise and then find out your guitarist is gay.

Spaceman Spiff 06-24-2009 08:41 PM

I can understand getting pissed when no one shows up for 45 minutes.

Lawl.

I always play my records from start to finish (at least on one side). I assure you I am not guilty of the aforementioned douchebaggery.

gaslight 06-24-2009 08:46 PM

Oh indeed. I'm usually the one waiting for 45 minutes.

At least 4 times I've been waiting for people only to find that it was cancelled and everyone was told but me.

Mr. Pickle 06-24-2009 09:16 PM

Cause no one likes you.

I can't say that has ever happened to me.

da_s_man13 06-24-2009 10:31 PM

I dont blame him for walking out 45mins into rehearsal tbh. I'd do the same thing. You guys pay for rehearsal?

It depends on the context in which it's written. In that situation, I probably shouldn't have capitalised it.

I am, but I'm also heading off in a bit.

There's a show on ABC with two kids and the boys voice is higher than the girls voice. I'm laughing.

da_s_man13 06-25-2009 01:20 AM

Barely.

Hey Gaslight, what setup you running these days? Read something about you having a aguilar setup?

gaslight 06-25-2009 01:21 AM

Hey man, yeah, I run my Ibanez SR500 into an Aguilar AG500 into an Epifani UL212.

da_s_man13 06-25-2009 01:24 AM

Was thaaat close to getting that head! Pity it sounded rubbish thru my Ampeg cabs at the time. Get it from Bass People?

funkyhoney 06-25-2009 01:28 AM

BEHRINGERRRR!!!!!1!!!

I need a new rig. But I WANT a new bike. Decisions decisions.

Yeah man. Would have probably gotten the Aguilar DB212 but they didn't have one at the time.

It was a photo finish between the AG500 and the Thunderfunk head for me.
