Full on. Isn't there only one train line in Wales and all it does is go back out of Wales?
Saying that I may be driving to Wrexham in a couple of days; is that classed as Wales? |
Yeah, I'd say so, just about.
|
Wrexham is one of stupid places that isn't really in Wales but everything and everyone is Welsh.
Used to work around there and we had an office in Shrewsbury. One guy, from Wrexham, kept going on about we didnt understand his "Welsh ways". You were born in fucking Shropshire, cunt. Its hardly Aber-bloody-yswyth. Whatever you do, don't let them know you're from England. |
Yeah, I'm here with the hockey. Not playing but came along for the ride.
Wouldn't know about the train, got a coach down here with a load of guys. Annoyingly getting a coach back to newcastle after a game that starts at 21:30 is gonna get us to newcastle for about 6-7 oclock in the morining.... might just hang around for my first lecture to start XD* *even worse, need to get a lab report finished for tomorrow. Gahhgarhgh!** **lfd much? |

I feel I should thank you everytime you're on for helping me build this PC (which now has a bad *** 22" 1080P HD Asus monitor instead of the shitty little compaq CRT). I've got 4 minutes till my self imposed reading session resumes. Back to the joys of critical history essays. Then later I get to plan a 2 hour timed essay on the use of coarse language in Harrison's and Rochester's poems. Actually that one's quite fun. Also; I cannot stop playing this song. It's so damn catchy yet heavy. It's been a while since I liked a song much I literally had to play it constantly. Actually the last time was another song by the same band. I can't stop playing Arch Enemy riffs.
|
Not much is up man, uni grind pretty much all the time. realised that the electronic engineering course is not very well structured at all, not really doing much that really interests me at the moment. That, and playing Borderlands \m/
What's the spec like on that PC? I'm thinking of building another soon but I want the i7's to drop in price, ideally to around 150 mark. Might be wishful thinking but I can wait :P |
Uh, off the top of my head I can't remember. I think the graphics was a nvidia 9800gt 512, ocz platinum ram, I think the cpu was an intel e7300 or something.
What's the deal with the i7's? Heard some good about them. New architecture or something? |
Thinking of building my own cab
but this isn't really worth a thread
How practical is it building a 4x12 using both treble and bass amp-speakers? I used to play through a bass cab and really liked the heavy tone. I was thinking of building 2 2x12s, one treble and the other with bass speakers Thoughts? |
You'll need the knowledge first.
|
I'm shocked. the first time I venture out of the bass forum in AGES and I realise the guitar forum actually still has guitar related discussion.

What's the deal with the i7's? Heard some good about them. New architecture or something?
Well the old i7's, I think all but the bottom one, had 4 cores and 4 "imaginary" (can't remember the term they used) cores or w/e. Basically it wasn't there, but it thought it had 8 cores. Which was kind of cool to say the least. The upcoming i7's are going to be 32nm, instead of 45nm, architecture. Though the thing is the i7's were supposedly going to be replaced at the end of the year by something which required a new socket (on the mother-board). So any one who bought an i7 would have to buy a new mobo, and possibly new RAM because of it, if they wanted to upgrade from an i7. Though it isn't confirmed of course, I'm not sure if the new 32nm are what they were talking about or what comes after them. Though who knows when the 32nm are going to come out. They were originally a Q4 of 2009, but were pushed back to Q1 of 2010, and if we look at Intel's history it is feasible they'll be pushed back again... and maybe again. |

Spread the word hombre. I can't believe a band of that quality is hardly known. |
fuck you mx and fuck the 11,000 posts I've wasted here. :(
Anyone remember when post counts were celebrated? And we had stars under our names? Them were happier times. I think Imma use this milestone to take a break from mx because I'm on here and face/lamebook instead of studying. Inabit lod. |

3 to 1 odds that SBT will be back on here before the end of the week.
Or is that generous? |
I was thinking it'd be more like a break for the night... no longer than 24 hours really.

You end up with '4 imaginary' cores. Hyperthreading was kinda popular around the P4 era before C2D came out and made everything awesome. 2.I really doubt intel are gonna change socket standards after pretty much only just changing it from the LGA775. Two sockets are currently used for the i7/i5 series, LGA 1366 and LGA1156. I don't know much about the latter but the former is used for Xeons as well. I also don't doubt that they're going to change to a 32nm process soon enough, check wikipedia for the different standards of processes, only thing this after 32nm there aren't many left o.O |

Well I know they're working on 22nm (which is what is after 32 nm), and what no faith in going to pico-meter technology? |
