Eyyyyyyyyyyy.
What's goin on y'all? |
i'm currently on hold on the phone to my bank.
no mister berry, there's no reason that the bank should be denying your paypal payments' so why are they being blocked -_- and now i'm on hold |
Firstly, a debit card.
Secondly, I know but he wasn't in there when she chose it nor did he touch the machine so as far as I'm concerned, I just don't care. Yeah a lot of the time liquor licensing will recruit 17 year olds who're unusually gargantuan to come in and buy like, a coke, and then if you don't ID them and subsequently refuse them you get to make love to a government issued fine. Yes, it's that bad over here. You can't buy chips from a liquor store, you can't even enter a liquor store. I'd like to know there policy on life or death situations. Because if I sell a minor a bottle of water because they're dehydrated we can both technically be fined a **** load.
that is crazy |
I find your views intriguing and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.
http://www.myspace.com/joe_wells_is_sexxxy I should totally start a monthly newsletter. I can say some pretty intriguing things sometimes.
Eyyyyyyyyyyy. What's goin on y'all?
Trying to learn a couple new songs on acoustic guitar for our annual lake trip this weekend. I'm thinking "3 Balloons" by Stephen Lynch, "Loser" by 3 Doors Down, and "Pinch Me" or "One Week" by BNL. Hell, maybe both. |
fix your link
|
learn loser by beck. yeah.
|
learn loser by beck. yeah.
I want to get a looper and freestyle over that live. It's actually a difficult riff to sing over, IMO. Beck's rapping is fairly inconsistent, so timing the sliding and the vocals is tough. It is on my to-do list, though. Just not something I can conquer in a couple sporadic hours over the next two days. I don't even remember all the lyrics. I might be able to throw "Mr. Jones" into the mix. We'll see. I just need new material. |
am180 by grandaddy.
go. |
Learn some Neutral Milk Hotel.
|
am180 by grandaddy.
go.
Everclear's "AM Radio"? Possibly. AM180? Can't say I'm familiar with that. Keep in mind, I also have to record for the loop comp, clean the house, pack, smoke, go to my sister's graduation, smoke, work, stain my fingerboard, sleep, and eat in that time as well. |
Learn some Neutral Milk Hotel.
I go for more of the popular sing-along type of stuff. It gets everybody into it, which keeps us all up later, keeps the beer flowing, and allows me to pass out in the folding chair (drunk) while the lake rises up to my ankles before I wake up hung over. |
just go youtube it. its a killer song. short, sweet, simple.
ever seen 28 days later? its in that. |
I have, but I can't say I remember the soundtrack. I was too busy waiting for the damn movie to end. Seriously....dragged out far too long. "The Fountain" was close to the same, but jumping between the 3 different ages kept it moving.
I'll check out AM180 in a minute. EDIT: Eh, it's ok. Works great for a soundtrack, but not something I could listen to outside of the movie. |
campfire songs I like to play:
-me and bobby mcgee by kris krisofferson (sp?) -buddy holly (everyone knows that one) or say it ain't so by weezer -what i got by sublime (people love that song, really overplayed but when your drunk it's great. it's also easy as hell to play even if you are smashed) -america by simon and garfunkel -layla by clapton -soul to squeeze by rhcp -anything by CCR oh yeah and if you have the right crowd -sugar magnolia/scarlet begonias/uncle johns band/friend of the devil/st stephen by the grateful dead |
"What I Got" is so much fun to play for some reason (especially in smoking crowds). It's amazing how much people freak out over that solo (which is one of my favorite solos ever, so simple and perfect).
|
the santeria solo seems to get people pretty fired up too

I think what's nice about Bradley Knowle's solos is that they all seem to be written with the music in mind. They fit incredibly well with the music and aren't a 50-minute wankfest. |
Yeah he was a really tasteful player, played a lot memorable guitar. Too bad he was too f*cked up when they played live to be a decent player or singer. Or even remember his own lyrics.
Ha, just got a call from our singer. I guess we're opening for eek-a-mouse on the 30th. Sweeeet...we're gonna make bank...... |
opening for eek a mouse! that ****ing awesome dude.
yeah knowles is a wonderful singer songwriter, but sublime live shows were kind of a joke. exceopt for lou dog walkin around the stage |

This Carvin is incredible. The neck needs to be straightened a hair and she could probably use some new strings, but I actually kind of like the tone I'm getting from these. Reminds me of Dirk Lance's tone.

They were awesome live granted Brad was super-****ed on heroin but he put so much into it that it doesn't matter if he's sloppy. Kinda like Hendrix |

These are Flea cabs, yo. |
Anyone ever seen a bass with a humbucker in the neck spot and a jazz in the bridge spot? I wonder what that would sound like with both on full volume.
|
I gotta say, I'm starting to really like the tone on this Carvin. Great for picking or jazz bass.
|
Carvins are awesome basses, I'd probably buy one if I didn't already have a stingray. The stingray is the only bass guitar i'll ever need unless I start doing session work.
|
Carvin>>>>>>>>>stingray
Carvin>most everything |
