I would also pay that much.
Yeah the prices kinda suck but it's
worth it.

ghettoeddo 10-23-2006 10:56 PM

i just downloaded their entire discography today :]

magicbus 10-23-2006 10:59 PM

Let us know what you think. Don't get too overwhelmed by the entire discography at once. Take em an album at a time (suggestion).

Jacaranda 10-23-2006 11:05 PM

Ya but skip everything after Animals. Its just a waste of time after that.

Kingofdudes 10-23-2006 11:06 PM

/me likes the stuff after Animals

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 10-23-2006 11:06 PM
i just downloaded their entire discography today :]
I don't understand why people get the entire discography of one band; when most, if not all the time half or most of the discography is highly mediocre. I don't know....I've done it with Pink Floyd and several other bands and I've regretted it every time. Get music because it's good not because you want to collect all of a band's albums; just a suggestion...

Riva 10-23-2006 11:07 PM

Bah, I'll kill you Jac. :p

Damn me, I'm going to have to save a lot more than I'd originally planned to fly to Brissie and see Roger live. :(

EDIT: And now Spence is cutting me badly too. :(

MattSharpIsCool 10-23-2006 11:07 PM

I just watched Live At Pompei.

Awesome video. Its cool to see them playing when they're young, but I still like Pulse better.

Kingofdudes 10-23-2006 11:07 PM

meh, I can enjoy most Pink Floyd albums in some way.

Riva 10-23-2006 11:10 PM

Yah, PULSE has better songs, but I love the atmosphere and interviews of LAP more.

fwqhgads ² 10-23-2006 11:15 PM

ugh stop reminding me that my LAP DVD is dead =(

Riva 10-23-2006 11:18 PM

I like to think that oysters transcend nationalities.

robo2448 10-23-2006 11:18 PM

ugh stop reminding me that I still don't own Live at Pompeii. I do have the audio though.

magicbus 10-23-2006 11:20 PM

Ok sorry everyone who hates thinking about LAP, but it's so awesome. I love seeing the guys when they're younger. They emanate cool all over that ****. You could call them air conditioners.

MattSharpIsCool 10-23-2006 11:23 PM

The interviews in LAP were really neat. The oysters part was champ.

Riva 10-23-2006 11:24 PM

I know, what about when Dave does that scream, with the wind whipping his hair over his face! And Nick's rainbow butterfly t-shirt.

fwqhgads ² 10-23-2006 11:26 PM
I like to think that oysters transcend nationalities.
ENOUGH

EDIT: the butterfly shirt is totally pimp

Riva 10-23-2006 11:34 PM

I love the fades and wipes the director used. So damn '70s.

MattSharpIsCool 10-23-2006 11:34 PM

Nick Mason likes his fruit pie without crust.

"Most people think of us as a very drug-oriented group. Of course we're not, you can trust us." While David Gilmour smirks.

ghettoeddo 10-23-2006 11:36 PM

great quote :smoke:

magicbus 10-23-2006 11:37 PM

I like Roger's smoke rings. Very cool.

ghettoeddo 10-23-2006 11:38 PM

i can blow smoke rings

MattSharpIsCool 10-23-2006 11:38 PM

Roger seems a tad creepy.

Riva 10-23-2006 11:38 PM

I love how the pan around the room and show Rick playing the piano part only for Us And Them.

MattSharpIsCool 10-23-2006 11:42 PM

Ya that was really cool.

And during Brain Damage:

"Christ, what would rock 'n roll be without feedback?"

Riva 10-23-2006 11:51 PM

Oh man, now I have to watch it again before work.

dUSK 10-24-2006 12:52 AM

For the Aussies in the thread, the ticket prices aren't as bad for Roger Waters as initially thought. Platinum tickets are $350, but there are 4 different kinds of ticket, ranging in price down to $100.

Apocalyptic Raids 10-24-2006 02:43 AM

Cool.

Today in class we watched The Wall: Live In Berlin. Needless to say, it was a good class.

Jim 10-24-2006 03:58 AM

Lucky bugger. We used to watch Two Weeks Notice and O' Brother, Where Art Thou (which is a good movie btw).

I'm so getting LAP you persuasive nutters. :smash:
