I'll sort out the song listings for you later, when I get home.

Its a huge performance, lasting at least two hours. Only thing that pisses me off is that they'll preform songs like "Heatseeker", and not some of the many great classics, like Long way, Riff Raff, Beating around the Bush, etc etc.

... Its the same with the stiff upper lip concert. Lets get some live Sin City, or Rocker.

maddog87 01-24-2006 10:19 AM

yeah, jewels was pretty good about all the classics

Planning on going onto amazon and buying the Let There Be Rock VHS, and also a DVD called "ACDC - Bon Scott - The Early Years".

maddog87 01-29-2006 01:58 PM

.....wow,this thread is really dying..

Drunken Viking 01-29-2006 02:14 PM

Then don't bump it. Let the thread die.

maddog87 01-29-2006 02:21 PM

it will come back,it always does. some noob will come in after a week and say "OMG back in black is the coolest song ever!!" and that will start everybody up again. this thread is like a mole or a birthmark, you can never get rid of it and it wont go away

Drunken Viking 01-29-2006 02:52 PM

Then there is no need to bump it, is there.

willay 01-31-2006 05:54 PM

Don't know. I have 'Family Jewels' and think it's great, but I don't have 'Live at Donnington' to compare it to.

maddog87 01-31-2006 07:09 PM

^^same here.ive heard its great, plus its all live, some of the jewels stuff was just dubbed over with the track :(

Bon_Scottie 02-14-2006 11:24 AM

Just wondering... but has anybody ever heard "Go Down"?

I know nearly every track by DC, but I'd never heard this before, until I found it on a friends mp3 player... she didnt know who it was. Its definatly Bon Scott, and definatly AC/DC... its THEIR sound.

Anybody know anything about the track?

AB/CD 02-14-2006 11:51 AM

as far as i remember its first song on the let there be rock album.

Drunken Viking 02-14-2006 04:42 PM

Yeah its the first song on LTBR.

I'd get Donnington it's amazing (for the kid with the DVD question).

AB/CD 02-14-2006 04:53 PM

nah id get no bull far better just better stage and songs on it well not alot of other songs but still some good songs on it

Drunken Viking 02-14-2006 07:53 PM

Meh I think that No Bull has a worse performance.

maddog87 03-16-2006 07:39 PM

wow, i just found out that bon played the recorder in a band during his early years. big change!

Drunken Viking 03-16-2006 09:41 PM

You just watched VH1 didn't you.

musicforlife 03-26-2006 07:46 PM

I like AC/DC , and that is all that matters to me.

Mechanix72 03-26-2006 08:05 PM

AC/DC have one of the most riffy sounds, there hasn't been a song I've disliked. I really enjoy High Voltage, but TNT is still my favorite. Great band.

Angus young

there aint no other band that sounds like em. plus no other band has a mental, headbanging, duckwalking schoolboy for a lead guitarist. angus may not be as skilled as guitarists like jimmy page and steve vai, but no other guitarist has that amount of energy. correct me if im wrong but did you know back in black has sold over 42 million records, making it the second biggest album ever? does anyone know where i can get a maestro vibrola from?

Nobody wants to sound like 'em.

Having sold a lot of records doesn't automatically make it good.

Maestro's are a waste.

1] if you don't want to sound like acdc in a band, thats fine. other people, however, do. and that has nothing to do with opinion. what band sounds like iron maiden? practically none... does that mean that no-one wants to see 'em?

2] oh right! so people buy it because they don't like it.... i see.

3] what are maestros? you mean orchestral leaders or something else?

Drunken Viking 04-04-2006 06:48 PM

Make up your mind and quit changing the figures, its not that hard to search the stats on the net.

Drunken Viking 04-05-2006 10:40 PM

WHat are you talking about, they have sold only 20 million in America, but over 40 million world wide.

they are. but you can't really be "of the opinion" that no-one wants to sound like them. that statement is based on fact, in this case, fictional fact.
