Hey guys!! Im not really a slipknot fan, but i really liked one of their songs. problem is, i dunno what its called. In the video they all have their masks off, but you dont see their faces, and theyre playing indoors, one of them barefooted i think. If anyone could name it that would be class! cheers:chug:
its called Before I Forget its on the new album. i suggest u check it out it is very new take on slipknot and it is easier on the not so heavy listeners.

Crysiss 05-08-2006 11:25 AM

Haha, I got it first. So does anyone know when their new album will be released?

Belfast Bassist 05-08-2006 11:31 AM

Cheers guys!

Ben: Duality is the only other song i like by them!

Crysiss: thanks for helping

ultim8bassist: i have Vol 3 (the subliminal verses), but to me most of it is musical crap, opium of the people has an appaling riff, and three nil is pretty annoying after a while. I'll be sure to check out the new album though. Whats it called?

Crysiss 05-08-2006 11:35 AM

Im not even sure if theres news of a new album yet, I was just waiting for the fan boys to reply.

Belfast Bassist 05-08-2006 11:43 AM

Ah right, guess ill just have to keep my eyes open then!

Crysiss 05-08-2006 11:45 AM

No, Id rather Just wait it out and not worry about it.

Belfast Bassist 05-08-2006 11:54 AM

Tillius 05-08-2006 12:33 PM

It's going to be a while, The subliminal Verses was only last year right? And Corey is busy recording and touring with Stone Sour, who I'll be seeing at Download soon, maskless. :)

Also Shawn's band are at Download too.

Wow, your opinions on their albums are completely different from mine. The self titled was pretty solid throughout, with a few flaws. Iowa struck me as completely average and seemed like a weaker repeat of the first the album. The lyrics on it were pretty dumb, too. Volume 3 is an album that I used to hate because of the band's sound change, but now I really enjoy it. They've finally matured into a good metal band and they're actually beginning to use their guitarists to their potential.

I have a feeling that the new album will be quite good and will finally give Slipknot the respect they deserve.

I read an interview in Bass Guitar magazine that had an interview with Paul and he said that they're going to take a break for a while. So my guess would not be for a while, which is a bummer.

It's understandable though, seeing as how they were on tour for an incredibly long time.

lamb_of_goddrummer 05-08-2006 03:01 PM

Hey guys, not really a slipknot fan, but yeah Joey is a killer drummer. I went to a concert a while back and he did his upside down drumsolo, wow. I heard that Slipknot was done for though on Uranium, what's that all about?

There have been rumors of them breaking up for quite some time now, but that's not true. Even the band members have disproved that. They're just taking a break for a little while.

gigi666 05-08-2006 03:05 PM

Sure Volume 3 finally shows all their potential (and espicially the guitarists) but i (and quite a lot of older fans) prefer much more the old slipknot who used simple fast guitars riffs, harsh vocals with simple lyrics and fast drumming. Of course they have some of these elements in their new music but the heaviness/intensity is just missing but mark my words, this isn't a bad album at all!

Thor 05-08-2006 03:06 PM

Exactly. They took the things they needed to improve on, thus making a really good album. The only thing that I can complain about on Volume 3 is Corey's scream, which everyone knows isn't as good as his old one.

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:19 PM

His old scream was Brutal.

I kind of think he would've fucked him self over with it.

gigi666 05-08-2006 03:44 PM

no like many others, i dearly miss his screams and growls! have you any of you guys checked out stone sours "Reborn" video clip. Although his screams aren't the best, they're not bad

Crysiss 05-08-2006 03:57 PM

Is it new stone sour?

well i could agree with you but i liked self-titled better that Vol.III because i think by far its way to much like Stone Sour and im not a huge fan of them Iowa was by far their heavyest album and im a huge metalhead so i loved that cd :chug:

I dont think that was Mick and Jim's full potential. It was, however, quite a step up from previous material. While Vol.3 was a very good album, I still think that it's main purpose was really to break down alot of barriers for future releases.I see them taking what they did on Vol.3, and completely taking it to a whole new level. At least, I'm hopefull of it.It would be quite a waste not to do so when the opportunity is there.

They're still together, they're just not producing anything at the moment - Some of them are currently working on side projects (Like Stone Sour) - once they're finished with this, they'll be back in full force

Carrionshine 06-04-2006 03:06 AM

That new Stone Sour song is pretty good. Its called 30/30-15 or something along the lines of that.

Leukeh 06-04-2006 05:21 AM

30/30 150
I can't get hold of a copy of it & haven't heard it... do you have it? Any chance of you uploading it?
