I meant his solo career. Stills is a better guitarist.
Well, than yes. Definitley, but Stills led Springfield and CSNY. So, it evens out :)

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:09 PM

200 yeah!

That being said, who here has been to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame? I was there today, in the gift shop because I didn't feel like paying to get in. Oddly enough, I've only been there twice and the last time I went I knew nothing about rock music.

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:12 PM

I've been there, obviously. About 7 times actually. The gift shops rocks.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:14 PM

No way, it's too expensive.

Seafroggys 08-07-2004 10:16 PM

I've been to the Rock 'n Roll hall of fame in June 2001 (when they had the huge John Lennon exhibit).

Oh my god, talk about a life-altering experience. Me going in was not the same person coming out three hours later. Its one of the best times of my life.

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:16 PM

Yeah but they have some sweet stuff in there. The only gay stuff is like the shirts and all that. My favorite part every time is the Henrix theater. Right now they have an exhibit on Les Paul which is cool. I suggest that everybody goes there and visits me on your way out.

gmoneyguy 08-07-2004 10:18 PM

Now I'm getting jealous....why do i have to live in Mississippi???????? :upset:

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:19 PM

The main exhibit was The Supremes apparently. Last time is checked it was on U2.

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:19 PM

That was a long time ago.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:22 PM

I dunno, that Lennon exhibit was there for a looooooong time

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:24 PM

Yeah I only saw that one time I went. The best time I went was when I went with my school becuase I got to spend the whole day with this girl I liked.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:24 PM

I guess I take it for granted that I live 15 minutes away from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

Man...Atleast some who appreciate good rock(you) live nearby.

Badmoon 08-07-2004 10:27 PM

^I've been there. There's a better museum in Orlando though.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:27 PM

Blasphemy!!!!!

VoodooChild 08-07-2004 10:28 PM
Voodoo, are you going to see Gov't Mule and Chris Robinson on tour?
No, they're not touring anywhere near me. I wish they would though...

P.S. Stills is king. Stephen Stills and Manassas are the shiznaight!

Badmoon 08-07-2004 10:28 PM

I was there during the U2 exhibit.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:30 PM

This Orlando place, how is it better than the Rock Hall??????

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:35 PM

The rock hall is the only thing Cleveland has over other places. Please don't take that from us!

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:36 PM

Rock and Roll forever!!

J0n45 08-07-2004 10:37 PM

Well, it's hard really to describe what "Classic Rock" is. Back then you wouldn't be referring to it as classic rock.

But, the bands that generally get categorized under the classic rock genre; I do like.
Such bands as:
-The Beatles
-The Who
-Led Zeppelin
-Velvet Underground

Those are just a few.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:38 PM

Stop trying to change the subject!!! *shakes fist*

DeadKennedy420 08-07-2004 10:42 PM

hey yeah, when i ehar The Darkness and like Jet, it all sounds like just classic rock
so yeah, classic rock is comin back

but so is classic punk like the ramones and the clash and the sex pistols

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 10:43 PM
The rock hall is the only thing Cleveland has over other places. Please don't take that from us!
Don't forget Halle Berry

Badmoon 08-07-2004 10:49 PM
This Orlando place, how is it better than the Rock Hall??????
Well, for one, it's never crowed, a bit more intimate. Most the stuff isn't in cases, great memorabilia (spl?). And there's tours.

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:50 PM

Badmoon 08-07-2004 10:52 PM

The one in Orland has a food court :)
Who has a new band we can educate eachother on?
Warren Haynes = Hardest working man in music today.

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 10:53 PM

gmoneyguy 08-07-2004 10:54 PM
