Angmar 01-07-2011 07:56 PM

Sodom is probably my favorite.

illmitch 01-07-2011 07:59 PM

start with the other big germanic thrash bands (kreator, destruction)

also check out dark angel, onslaught, holy terror, witches hammer, sarcofago, early sepultura, and coroner

Yeah I have some Kreator, Sarcafago and Sepultura, I just never really got heavily into thrash but I've listening to more lately, I'll probably go get some Dark Angel and Destruction now.

illmitch 01-07-2011 08:05 PM

definitely get holy terror too, they're amazing, probably one of my favorite thrash bands

adb 01-07-2011 08:08 PM

only thing I respect about thrash is it doesn't take itself seriously like most metal does

other than that it really sucks ass and is incredibly cheesy, that song was horrible

Nepenthe 01-07-2011 08:09 PM

oh dude you gotta get sacrilege's behind the realms of madness. best early thrash album period.

vektor's black future kicks alot of ass. best thrash album of the 2000's.

Angmar 01-07-2011 08:10 PM

Your opinion is invalid on all forms of metal besides tech death.

Nepenthe 01-07-2011 08:10 PM

is this cheesy adb

Going on a downloading spree, getting some Nevermore albums too because I used to like them a lot and still might, who knows.

Nepenthe 01-07-2011 08:13 PM

i'm telling you. that vektor album is better than any early 90's thrash. (see youtube link)

Angmar 01-07-2011 08:15 PM

I listened to a bit and will probably get that album too.

Nepenthe 01-07-2011 08:16 PM

their singer is like the ultimate thrash vocalist

and the RIFFS. my god the RIFFS.

Stormrider 01-07-2011 08:16 PM

Sabbat - Dreamweaver is another one you definitely need to get your hands on.

sup people

illmitch 01-07-2011 08:16 PM

i think the genre of metal i listen to the most nowadays is NWOBHM/stuff like that

Angmar 01-07-2011 08:17 PM

Listening to this Nevermore album, it's pretty awesome, probably not as cool as I used to think it was but still.

[QUOTE=Stormrider;18347176]Sabbat - Dreamweaver is another one you definitely need to get your hands on.

Yeah I've got that one and some stuff from Jap Sabbat too, I like both.

How you doing dude?

Nepenthe 01-07-2011 08:19 PM

it's ridiculous how many obscure thrash bands there were in the 80s. most suck though so it's not worth searching them out.

Aakon_Keetreh 01-07-2011 08:21 PM

sup guys
