There's a pretty cool Canadian bm scene too if you're interested, but most people who are new to the genre care most about Akitsa (from Canada I mean).

1. download everything posted on funeral stench
2. listen to every release once 3. rec releases to everybody else all the time 4. ??? |
Yeah my city has a good music scene, I will definitely have to check out some local Black Metal bands.
I listened to Black Murder's Feasts, I love it. I'm about to listen to Furdidurke's November Reh, and I've got Murmuure's s/t on the way <- a random band off a BM blog I've never heard before, wonder if it'll be good... I still haven't gotten to all the recs but they're on my list for sure. Thanks so much guys. |
I don't really like blakk punx musix.

scarch, one of the best new bm bands you can hear is torture chain. get all three of their demos.
|
Awesomeness, Luciation was the only band I didn't like very much. And I liked Black Murder the most. This Black Punk Metal, or whatever, is cool. Never heard of it before. Thanks guys, I'll keep my eyes on this thread for sure.
Edit: Oh there were a couple more posts, I'll check those recs out. Thanks guys.
what release did you listen to? idk how you didnt like them everything they do is grrrreat |
they actually aren't horrible
what release did you listen to? idk how you didnt like them everything they do is grrrreat
I listened to Distractive Skulldrilled Necro Orgy, just the one song on youtube. I'm just not fond of their noise elements (lamens terms), that kind of static distortion they had and the vocals being overpowered by the instrumentals. Maybe they have some better material?
I don't really like blakk punx musix.
I would love some straight up Metal Black Metal. I'm loving the Black Punk Metal, but artists like Burzum blow me away too. I do love that pure sense of Metal. I also like Death Metal, Thrash Metal, and other Metal and Metal/Punk fusion genres. I'm not so fond of Folk Metal, Symphonic Metal, or straight up Heavy Metal.
scarch, one of the best new bm bands you can hear is torture chain. get all three of their demos.
I'm liking The Ever Darkening Skies Over Wallachia, I'll be sure to check out more of their stuff, thanks.
dude it's a+ material
fucking evil
It's good. :P |
check out some fantasy/battle/war/Tolkien/sci-fi/whatever black metal. I'm the only one in here who likes it apparently, but it rules.
check out this band: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6qLLRdiJb8 |
vocals are fucking annoying
|

So I'm listening to this band, Murmuüre, they're sweet. You guys may like them if you're not already familiar with them. |
dont listen to his music. hes a emo faggot and has shitty music taste
|
That's okay, most of my personal friends have taste in music I despise. And I like Emo. Well real Emo like Rites of Spring anyway, I loathe Fall Out Boy and Panic at the Fake Emo.
|
well christsimpson knows his skramz, but back to bm
i have nothing to say |

yeah Nazgūl are really over the top for some people. give this a shot: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KivaOMT9kLs. this isn't quite as eccentric, haha. |

Vlad Tepes was better.
well christsimpson knows his skramz, but back to bm i have nothing to say
How do you feel about Murmuüre? |
never listened but looks intriguing, so will get, thx
|
You won't be dissapointed.
|
@scarch do you like slow/atmospheric black metal? like Austere and stuff? a lot of great bands to be heard.
personally I listen mostly to super raw and lo-fi stuff OR fantasy/sci-fi/symphonic stuff with black metal roots. two polar extremes, really. but I'm also into some of these slow and atmospheric black metal (or black metal-rooted) bands like Austere, Ulver, In the Woods..., Ashdautas, Weakling, etc. check it out. you can probably find all of these bands on YouTube. |
I don't particularily like slow atmospheric music, but I'm liking Austere - The Dreadful Emptiness, I'll check some more of that out, thanks.
|
If you like atmospheric black metal, don't miss out on Drudkh or Walknut.
|
Drudkh's newest album is the only one I find interesting. but that album sounds more like screamo/hardcore than anything else, LOL.
|
quit posting here christsimpson you're going to make me break my neck shaking my head so much
|
I think Handful of Stars is a good album, tbh. It comes nowhere near Autumn Aurora or Blood in Our Wells but I like it.
|
Drudkh are good, added Walknut to my To Listen list, which is pretty long atm. Ugh, I'm going to need to take a break from getting recommendations and just sit back and listen to some albums.
|
dont listen to his music. hes a emo faggot and has shitty music taste
fuck off emo hater |
forgotten legends will always be drudkh's best
forests in fire and gold... uhhhhhhhh jizzzzzzzzzz |
agreed anferny but my fav song on forgotten legends is def false dawn, song is amazing
|
yeah dude every song on there is great. even the fucking track that is just rain is awesome, in the context of coming after all the excellence of the prior 3 songs.
that main riff on forests in fire and gold just gives me goosebumps even to this day every time i hear it |
fuck off emo hater
fuck off emo faggot |
What do you have against Emo?
|
jon are you like, too grim and satan for emo now or what?
|
listenin' to a forest of stars and not giving a fuck
|
Yeah? Come on, like how can anyone not like Gospel?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yf6FOrG1wYA |
gospel are good but ive said it a million times before on here, i have no clue why everyone nut rides them so hard there are waaaaaaay better emo/screamo bands
|
They hit a soft spot for me. Some of my other favorites thus far are Heroine, The Birds are Spies They Report to the Trees, The Nightmare Scenario, Guyver-One, and Moss Icon.
But I really haven't gotten around to delving very much into Emotive Hardcore yet. For straight up Emo, 125 Rue Montmartre, and Maggat are good. Mmmm, to get a little back on track with BM, some Blackened Crust always pinches my musical nerve, Iskra! |
crusty bm is yummy, dishammer and malveillance are two of my favies
|
Awesome! Alright well, I'ma call it a night. Thanks for all the sweet music drops!
