Obviously those braindrill dudes are talented at their instruments, but I can't really dig this stuff. I think when bands get really really techy with their music it brings it down, for me it's as if they aren't really even songs, just showing-off.

Its kind of funny, I can do a sort of scream, and a guttural growl that sounds like its on its way to being brutal death, but I cant do squeals. I hate them, so I haven't looked up how, but no matter how I try, it just doesn't happen lol

Most tech death just sucks in my opinion. There're so many of these bands that they almost all sound the same. I'll stick with my old school death and proto death metal bands.

Nah, there's enough variation in old school death metal that there are plenty of bands that sound distinctly different and have their own style. Necrophagist and the lot, not so much so.
