It's on VH1, I'm not sure if it's uploaded anywhere yet. Just watched their performance, they played iron man and some other song, not sure. Hetfield seeemed to have a hard time hitting notes in that other song, they did good with solos though. Haha, James even said "I am Iron Man" in robotic voice in the beginning. :)

Yup regular Vh1. It's at 10 in central time zone. Check VH1 site for west coast times.

Off-topic, but:
I usually alt. pick, and I was just playing Master of Puppets downpick (I haven't done this in so long!), when I pick the open E, I kinda double the pick (Err.. double the note?), it sounds kinda cool (imo)...

Anyway, I'll see if I can get a microphone (It would appear my current mic is broken :/), on Friday, and have some recordings up on the weekend...

My favourite Metallica songs at the moment, and the songs [b]I[/b] would include in a medley are like Battery, Master, Orion, Ktulu, and Bells.. (Damn now I think about it, there's heaps more :/).. But I think everyone here (Or at least everyone who might help) should get a say in what songs we do... If you're interested in doing a collabration effort, well post your instrument and any songs you would like, and then everyone can make a choice of what to do (And what not to do). Yeah...

I think plenty of Metallica songs will fit together. As long as they're in the same or relative minor/major, they should go together. I'll try and get a mic ASAP and see if I can help.

Mendeed are a scottish metal band. Very good. That's ok apart from i don't think Bullet are gonna do Sanitarium very well.

I don't think any of them can pull it off better than the actual MOP.

Kerrang! is generally a good magazine. I'd say it sometimes better than Metal Hammer. Although MH just get straight to the music point and do better bands. But last week they did a three page spread on [I]Aiden[/I]. AAARRRHGGHH:angry: :angry: Is anyone else annoyed by that band as much as I am?

On the Rock Hall of Fame thing i think Metallica did pretty good. Specially Iron Man.

damn guys its been a long time since ive posted anywhere on these forums so what a better place than the metallica thread! anyways i see you all are laready on the topic i was gonna bring up (MoP remastered). I think its gonna be a pretty good cd except for the fact they have funeral for a friend doing Damage Inc. I just dont see how a band like that is going to be able to pull of one Metallica's most intense song but we'll see. I really wish Lamb of God was on there, but Im extremely excited that Mastadon is doing Orion. anyways i better get back to work

It's actually not too bad. I can't do it at full speed, but like said just slow it down if you want to downpick it. Otherwise, you can just alt. pick.

I don't think i'd like that. I like how at concerts they start with something really quiet like the intro to Battery or Blackened.

NP: NEM from S&M. I was thinkin about this the other day, people say that Metallica doesn't really have amazing musicians and that's really not true. For anyone that has listened through S&M entirely would know. It's absolutely amazing.

Well there are people who say like "oh yea sure they're good but they aren't that talented" which drives me crazy because the it takes incredible talent to write music for an entire symphony and make it sound really good.

thats what i thought. when 'tallica wrote, say, MOP, they didn't write it specially for an orchestra. i think the maestro just plays in key with them, as you say.
