I'm awake, I'm awake

moxshyfter 12-01-2004 08:56 AM

Yeah me too, for 3 hours now... :(

:amaze: 12-01-2004 08:59 AM

Why, hello everyone.

:amaze:

jamesr 12-01-2004 09:03 AM

Reporting for duty, I hate work :upset:

jamesr 12-01-2004 09:07 AM

I can't wait for tonight, Jam night. As we begin our search for a new guitar player. Our old one just got arrested last week, and probably facing 2 years. Our old singer also got picked up 2 weeks ago.

Wow, mixing in with the bad crowd eh? :D Shouldn't be too hard to find a guitarist though, I know a couple in harrisburg and I'm a recluse

Rollo47 12-01-2004 10:01 AM

Hey All

How goes it?

Espbassor 12-01-2004 10:03 AM

Well besides the drama from last night (I think it's on the last page actually) and the fact that we're finally ditching that crappy guitarist/vocalist, I'm doing pretty well. Yourself?

Rollo47 12-01-2004 10:19 AM

I'm good.

Had a frustrating jam with some mates today - I don't think they really came over to jam. Ah well. Anyways...... I'm a little nervous about my performance tomorrow night - I don't know the piece as well as I'd like to, but that's alright. It'll get the adrenaline going.

peeted 12-01-2004 10:27 AM

i had a band prac yesterday. worked on 2 new songs, one starts progresive metaly and keeps goin real good tell it goes into an auful discord bit that just doesnt fit and sounds terible and then goes into a silly pop punk style thing thats just silly. and we allso did a jazz song wich has a realy heavy intro in 7/8, then goes into a coll free/fusion jazz style thing with lots of guitar efects, then goes back into the 7/8 chrod sequence but then clean wich i solo on bass. havnt got any futher than that tho. so all in all except **** discord bit and pop punk bit the songs are sounding good. those bits will have to go though

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 10:31 AM

hello all.
how's everyone?

Rollo47 12-01-2004 10:50 AM

Hello

No one seems to be posting. Silly people. I'll get to 2500 posts tonight.

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 10:55 AM

i downloaded a Primus concert from the Tour De Fromage, it is terrific.

they need to put out a dvd from that tour like with the Hallucino-Genetics tour.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 10:59 AM

We shall dominate this thread, Spiff.

Join me or die.

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 11:00 AM

i'd like to join you...but i must leave in less then 10 minutes to go back to school :(

i'll help for a few minutes though.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:03 AM

Oh good. I was afraid I would have to kill you.

The domination has begun. Hopefully I'll get a full page later.

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 11:06 AM

if you do get a full page then remember to post a link to it if i don't see it.

Spaceman Spiff 12-01-2004 11:07 AM

well, i've got to go back to school now for another 2 1/2 hours...2 classes.

be back later.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:08 AM

Alrighty Spiff. Have fun.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:09 AM

Looks like I'm all by myself.

Again.

Oh well.

Time to talk to myself again, I'm thinking.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:10 AM

I find myself growing to like Beach Boys songs more and more.

It's rather odd.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:11 AM

Ah man, Sly and the Family Stone are incredibly cool.
If You Want Me to Stay is incredibly funky.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:12 AM

Hmmm, what to listen to now.

Peter Frampton it is.
Anyone else a fan?

coddingtown 12-01-2004 11:16 AM

A post a minute eh... Well at least you didnt pull a Quatre 87.

Right now Im at school, but on my way here I was listening to Zeppelin III, which so far is my favorite CD of theirs. Right now I am listening to Bad Religion's "Stranger than fiction"

Tiny voices...

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:19 AM

Ah, I'm not a fan of Bad Religion, but Zeppelin are good. Are you a Pink Floyd fan, by any chance?

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:20 AM

My posts per day is getting oh-so-close to 4, now. I can taste it.

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:23 AM

Can anyone recommend me some live Primus videos to download?

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:25 AM

It is a sad world we live in in which one must talk to oneself on an internet forum to gain amusement at 1:15am.

albinoblacksheep 12-01-2004 11:33 AM

Our Jazz Band Conductor just told us that we are going to learn Teentown after the next concert...although itl be the "slower" version he said...I dont know what that means though but thats fine with me...even at 80 bpm I still mess up sometimes o_O so im pretty glad hes not planning to do the 120 bpm one

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:36 AM

Awesome. I wish my jazz band would play Teen Town. Pity the bassist isn't quite good enough, I don't think.

Daniel_Son 12-01-2004 11:40 AM

Funk Tuba is one of the coolest things ever

Rollo47 12-01-2004 11:43 AM

It is. Despite being practically non existent.

bottlerocket 12-01-2004 11:43 AM

Heyy guys. I'm at school...again.

Tuba rocks. We have that japanese Girl who is pretty small and looks quite modest and quiet. And she is actually in most classes. And she plays tuba in our band and she is really good at it. Our conductor even said shes the best tuba player the band ever had. And she makes it sound **** funky :D I love it when tubas play crescendos and get really loud :D it sounds wicked

bottlerocket 12-01-2004 11:47 AM

Heyy everyone...

It goes well. Aced a Spanish test earlier, got a 100 on a calculus test, and finished most of my homework in class :p.
