My firend is really odd. He is bigger Tool fan than me, but he keeps saying that 10,000 Days isn't even a Tool album. I honestly think its just like everything else they have put out (I mean in their general sound).
|
You bastards, igot mine at 22$ or something like that.
|
I was about to buy it today, but I had to hold off because I only have $20 until friday. The leak will have to sufice until friday
|
Ah I listened to it again. Love it. Absolutely love it.
|
Man, I had an unbeliveably busy day, including job interviews, applications, lawn mowing...the list goes on.
I didn't make it to buy the TOol album, but I will tommorow for sure. What's with all the damn lost posts? I lost 400! |
Me, too. ARGH! It makes me so angry. It's all.... crooked and stuff. Ack.
Just like the way my Ænima case is cracked on the front. :(
My Lateralus case is cracked on the front, I'm just going to buy another copy. I got 10k Days for 5 bucks at Best Buy, thank god for the leftover money on that gift card. |
haha mine is cracked too and it ticks me off soo much cuz I like to watch the rotating eye now its sketchy when i do....
got mine $9.99 at best buy I'm on my second listen right now and I love it this will be the best new release of '06
You stole my avatar... I've had it for like 8 months now... |
You stole my avatar... I've had it for like 8 months now...
and what is it from? sin city?
Heh, I took my AP test today and went straight for the album.
Was it stats? And yeah, the creeking kinda bothers me too, and all my friends looking at it. I doubt it'll be in good condition for very long, but oh well, I usually forget about the case a week or two after I buy the CD. And oh god, hearing that sound clip during Right In Two is hilarious. Can't believe I didn't notice it before. |
My Lateralus case is cracked on the front, I'm just going to buy another copy.
You can replace that by stealing it from another generic case, though. The lenticular Ænima case is irreplaceable. |
Listening to the CD version on my studio monitors with a slight enviroment enhancer effect on top.
My god this album sounds godlike right now! |

The way the package feels I could imagine it being caused by things rubbing together. |
I think I'm gonna buy a signed copy from Alex Gray's website for 30 bucks.
I think I can wait a couple weeks for a concrete album. PIGS - /envy What's the environment enhancer deal you're talking about? Is it some kind of built in plug in, and if so, which program did you use to do that? |

You should just buy another copy. Dr. Jake, I bought that signed copy, I can't wait for it to get here. |
Once the time touched 2:26(Time we're dismissed), I darted swiftly towards the door and straight to my car. I went to Target and purchased my copy of 10,000 Days. I spent about 15-20 minutes scanning through the artwork, and it is stunning. I listened to this album in its entirety once, and as usual I had to cope with the band's new evolved sound. However, I listened to it some more and I'm finally starting to get fully attached to this album. Maynard proved himself once again as a lyrical genius, and "The Pot" is the best Tool song I have heard.
As usual, you have to listen to the album a couple of times before you can immerse yourself into it because this band progresses with each new CD, but I am definately not disappointed. As said by Remedy: "Amazing artwork, amazing album." |

I'm thinking about making a copy of the album with the plugin that I'm using on the mp3, see if anyone likes it better. It adds a lot to the overall sound on some albums, sometimes it makes it sound like a mess though but not for this one. |
Lateralus>10,000 Days.
I didn't like it. The only song I liked was the pot and even that one was annoying. |
I really do enjoy this CD. It's quite a good step foward for the band. The moment I popped that Cd in i loved it. Especially once Wings for Maire/10,000 Days came on i was stunned. Those two songs, in particular wings for Marie , are amazing.
Another bonus was that i got the Cd for 13.99 Canadian. :thumb: |
Okay, well I bought the album today.
Anyway it's got some interesting things. On a first listen it's a bit much to chew off though, so it'll grow on me more in the future. The title track wasn't as great as people say (the people who cried...) but it is pretty epic. Vicarious even grew on me a little more this time like I knew it would, even though I still don't really dig the song. They've evolved rhythm-wise by alot and even though Adam has alot of riffs running through songs that sound very similar, it's probably just to give the album a unifying feel. I'm glad that I was wrong about preassuming a Lateralus pt. 2 just from the single. Seems like Lateralus is like a go-between album between Aenima and 10,000 Days. |

They said so in the thread.

Wow, I never saw that. I'm sorry but thats when you step back and wonder wether or not your obsession for Tool is healthy for you. |
Ive cried over Tool, when i saw them live in Melbourne i was at the front near Adam and Maynard and the combination of the music (the i embrace my desire to section of Lateralus) the visuals and the event itself which was too much for me emotionally.
Yeah im a bitch :upset: |
^ I disagree!
That is a very inspiring section of music! I have also wept to some Tool. Along with that section of Lateralis, Disposition and Parabol does it for me, emotionally. Excellent combinations of lyrics and melody. |
