I'm a freakin' legend
Truth.
Anyone who has been a member here since 02 must be great, this forum has gone through so many stages of sucking that it is untrue, and you've been here nearly a year longer than me.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-04-2005 04:23 PM

Thats true...I wouldn't know about the sucking of the forum but I've only been here since May man being here since 2002 thats impressive you deserve stars for that.

Fish 09-04-2005 04:26 PM

Permanent Solution 09-04-2005 04:31 PM

Seth: You have always had them because of the glitch haven't you?

Also, I meant Black Ink, not Spence. Mods don't count as having stars :p

Arucard 09-04-2005 04:35 PM

I think to many people in R+M got stars. But oh well.

Are you serious?

For one thing you dont have enough facial hair from one week without shaving, I hope you mean facial hair.
And you intentionally ran your finger down a razor blade?

Dead Star 09-04-2005 04:45 PM

Well ya know happens to the best of us.

billiejoe84 09-04-2005 04:48 PM

At the moment, I'm trying to record a cover of 'What Would You Do?' by The Living End, on my computer. It's a right bloody hassle - the playing part is easy, but messing about with all the settings and effects you need to make it sound good is so tedious.

DepthsOfDreams555 09-04-2005 04:49 PM

Ya know what more and more people keep saying that can't stop listening to Coheed and new people are comming into the Coheed thread and saying Oo man I started listening to them and I can't stop now.

I'm currently working on a cover of A Praise Chorus by Jimmy Eat World.
I need a bit of motivation for my own songs at the moment, I can't think of many ideas lyricwise. I am getting better at guitar though. :D
I have about 50 songs written in lyric form on my laptop, so if I take good bits from each of them and stick them all together, I could probably make an albums worth of semi-decent lyrics.
I'm also too lazy to make my drum beats and work it all out. :(

What you want, right, is to find a bandmate who can write lyrics, but is a bit of a crap singer. Then nick his lyrics off him, and justify it by saying that you can put them to better use because he's not a good singer. It's working pretty well in my band at the mo - my bassist writes the lyrics, I use them to write songs

What I've just wasted the last hour doing. No bass, as I don't have a bass lying around the house at the moment, and no vocals, as my microphone is at the pub being used for the quiz. If anyone has a decent voice and wants to do vox over the top, go for it, as long as I can have a copy!

I actually think I have an okay voice at times.
For Jimmy Eat World-esque vocals, I think my voice is great. I can do Matt Skiba style vocals, but I don't like singing in my normal, relatively deep voice, it doesn't sound as good, or as natural.

ACID Pro 3. It's not amazing, and a bit fiddly to use if you don't have a proper studio 2-screen setup (which I don't). But it can do a job, as you can probably hear.

That's pretty cool. I tried to develop a higher, more angelic singing voice, but I just can't do it without sounding weedy. I'm better singing midrange, where I sound like a mix of Matt Skiba and Tim Armstrong. I'd say. But less good than either.
