yeah i used to not mind it, but i realized it just isnt for me. Bands like CoF and Dimmu Borgor(sp?) just totally piss me off when i hear them. The Keyboards just aint my thing.

No it isn't all. Ive heared other bands like Immortal, Crematory... i don't know it just doesn't appeal to me. I guess part of it is the image of "we are ghosts and evil" comes across to me.

Yes, COF and Dimmu (though I'd disagree about dimmu) are terrible places to start.


madthumbs, I suggest you check out some Immortal, Mayhem, Old Mans Child, and Older Dimmu (Puritanica is a good place to start as well) and possibly some Borgnakor and Satiryicon. I just messed up the spelling on some of those bands ;-/

Im pretty sure i have the bass player from Mayhems old old amp. His dad was selling it in the trading post. Unless he was lying to me. But the bass player does look like the dude who sold it to me. I used to like Satirycon. And there was a local band i really liked called "Earth" they were awesome. I don't hate all black metal, and ill listen to it if it is there, but i don't neccesarily choose to listen to it.
