We go way back. Also, Zeke, god dammit you need to make more trippy prog stuff like Boreal Rain; that's one of my top tracks on my iPod's "study playlist" (which is mostly populated with slower, weird, trippy or awesome stuff, ie, Explosions in the Sky, Sigur Ros, some electronica, piano pieces, classical music) |
Heh, we're using a motorola 68000 for all our assembly work. Hopefully this year it'll be more structured, last year they just basically dumped us in front of a computer with an A4 sheet of random commands. Not very helpful.
We just made programs for Intel 8086 processors, which of course run on modern 32-bit Intel processors as well. I don't know if you're dealing with Windows, but we had to tweak some ports to get our damn crap to work. Then in the next class we used BASIC instead of Assembly and used the God forsaken, never going to use again even if my life depended on it, BASIC Atom-40 P.O.S. micro-controllers. I tried to make a guitar teaching program but it failed miserably. Turns out the Atom-40 can't sample at a high enough rate to actually detect frequencies correctly. Though I was supposed to figure this out apparently. Problem was I was too busy trying to get the codes in the manual to work, which didn't. Then I went on to something a little longer, but still no Fourier Transforms (Fuck that). So I got a 50 on my damn term project. :upset: // rant rant tl;dr This has nothing to do with the above, but I just bought about $2k worth of computer parts to build me a new computer and build a computer around my old MOBO/GPU/CPU/RAM for my mother. |

also sup lod kinda drunk on crown, gonna go drink some more brb
Good man Max. Tbh, it's a lot like the original FO3 trailer; that showed pretty much sweet FA. But what you can pick out from it is that there's electricity in a much greater supply in that city than in the DC area in FO3. Looks a lot more advanced. |
Yeah it's supposed to come out in the Fall this year. It's an entirely new game that's being made by the people who did either the 1st or 2nd Fallout (I can't remember). The rewind video that's also on the page I linked to explains a little more about the trailer.

Oh wow superbowl-related pictures.
It's a good job the superbowl is such a big deal in countries other than the US otherwise people might be doing more important things like continuing with their lives or sleeping. EDIT: Holy fucking shit that god damn stupid rollover to hear the band advert at the top of the page just scared the balls out of me. |
What country specific sport is really that majorly popular? I mean, the NFL has a few games here and there out of the U.S. but it is just for show. Nascar doesn't go out of the states I believe. MLB, has a Canadian team here and there, as well as the NBA, but past that nada.
Though I actually like watching a lot of the German/European/Japanese/Asian/etc. touring car/gt/etc. races that are on every once and a while on SPEED. So maybe there are channels like that which distribute U.S. sports to the world for others to enjoy. |
Baseball is probably the most popular country-specific sport that I can think of. In the majors it's not that noticeable aside from some Japanese players but on a sub-pro level lots of countries like baseball, especially Asians. The Little League World Series is more fun to watch than MLB games, and it's a real WORLD series.
|
uh baseball is huge in most of latin america, basketball is starting to grow significantly in Europe.
|
... but do they tune in to the NBA Championship? I know Baseball is pretty popular in Japan, but I don't think Japan shuts down when the MLB World Series is on. I may be wrong... but I have never seen anything that would say otherwise.
