I still have it yes, but does it operate? Sorta. I rear ended someone on the freeway about 6 months ago. Was one of the saddest days in my life. I wish I had 3k to fix it back up again.

Kainen 02-06-2008 12:41 PM

i could still probably sell it for 1,200 or so. the engine is still amazingly clean. runs tip top. I just cant steer.

Drum Phil 02-06-2008 12:52 PM
It's a free stock image. I emailed the photographer a thankyou note too.

- Fixed that capitalisation too..
Good lad.

I know how annoying it can be when people dont :)

Also, i spent yesterday doing some fine tuning to an image i took a few weeks ago.

video of johnny rabb teaching akira the one handed roll!

this is a great example of why drummers are the most social and constructive of all the instruments!

oliv_da_skinmasher 02-06-2008 01:09 PM

They actually share ideas rather than just competeing all the time

DrumIntoTheNight 02-06-2008 01:45 PM

I just got a Sony Ericsson K850i, freaking amazing phone. Renewed my contract, traded in my old phone for £100.

...and it says I've got an inactive sim card.

Damn you, Orange contracts.

Janeway 02-06-2008 01:51 PM

It rained yesterday, and froze again this morning. Walking to my car, I noted a big pile of dog shit, encased in a beautiful sheathe of ice, like a bug encased in amber.

Drum Phil 02-06-2008 01:52 PM

I wish i was akira.

Sucks man. What kind of car is a "westy". Did the other person not have insurance?

The Mites 02-06-2008 01:59 PM

I thought Westy was a type of dog? Like, a terrier kind of dog?

Drum Phil 02-06-2008 02:01 PM

West highland terrier.

Also steering is overrated :D

And finally, i love this akira colab

Kainen 02-06-2008 02:07 PM

westy = westfalia = volkswagen bus.

it looked like this. minus the spare tire on the front.. which now I wish I never removed.

He had insurance but it was my fault. I got the bus back without repair plus $3,400 for the value of the car from my insurance company. Worked out alright I guess because i'm driving this now.

Oh- you rearended him. Easy enough to do I guess in a car with four drum brakes.

Kainen 02-06-2008 02:14 PM
Oh- you rearended him. Easy enough to do I guess in a car with four drum brakes.
actually, its two drum in the back and two disc in the front. pretty crazy for a '74

TTTSNB 02-06-2008 02:15 PM

Really? Wouldn't think that. That's definitely pretty cool for that time. Is the frame bent, or it not as bad as that?

Kainen 02-06-2008 02:20 PM

no bent frame. The guys bumper went right above mine and peeled back the front panel. Windshield is intact as well. I hit a chevy truck. Its basically all the area from under the windshield to above the bumped thats smashed in. Inside the car the dash board is pushed towards the driver. I was able to drive it home after the wreck.. above 10 miles.

The Mites 02-06-2008 02:43 PM
