I'm gonna have to agree with you in every way Nosferatu, unless I hear more Psycroptic that changes my mind.
Speaking of creative vocals, listen to Cartilage, their singer does this really sinister sounding laughing growl thing. It's badass. NP: Cartilage - Infernal Paradise... The Journey |
lol. that's what I thought when I first heard them...I was like wtf is this?..but now I realise that Nespithe is a badass album and therefore I cannot allow a comment like that
how dare you put Psycroptic in the same sentence. as Cryptopsy. Psycroptic blows. always has, always will.
 Yeah, I loved Psycroptic when I first heard them, but the more I listened to them the more I began to think of them as a bunch of boring riffs and a gimmick vocalist. |

Psycroptic blows. always has, always will.
we were talking about Psycroptic and Cryptopsy and i thought it was odd that there was that sort of connection... anyways Psycroptic blows except for the album Scepter Of The Ancients |
too much toughguy hardcore influence on that album.

No.
|
How did you find out about them?
|
uhhh ohhhh eleventeen picked up on old school finnish death metal (whoa, that's a kai hahto project?)
cartilage just screams dargon |
It was in my newb days, I was surfing metal archives and downloading as many Swedish bands as I could find, and anyhow, at the top of the alphabetical list was a pretty bland band named Altar, anyhow, they did a split with Cartilage, I downloaded the whole thing, didn't like Altar and loved Cartilage.
|
Sweden is meh to me for the most part.

oh because if Aids told you about them, he only knows about them because of me, so you'd have to kiss my *** for them. But since it didn't happen that way, stop listening to them just because I said so. |
You're annoying as hell, shut up.
Sweden is meh to me for the most part.
Sweden has a few okay bands, but they were the only thing I had heard of death metal in any way shape or form when I was 15. |
Lol. Your neg gave me a whole 15 points! I'm ruined!
|

For me, at that age, Gothenburg stuff was death metal... then I had a nice long chat with Bobo and he pointed me in the right direction.
|
I'm not even 15 yet :upset:
|
One day you may grow to not fail.
NP: Canadian Metal |

 |
The first one is just...lame
The second has a new vocalist that does lots of lame inward gurgling.
So The Isle of Disenchantment isn't good? I've only heard Carnival of Vulgarity and it's one of my favourite Psycroptic songs. I don't see what's the thing with them being considered having 'tough guy hardcore influences'. |
Has anybody heard the new Man Must Die? I had no idea they had death metal in Scottland.
|
You idiot...
|
You idiot...
Seconded. |
Do you always have to be so harsh with people? >->

Shut the **** up! jk |
Apparently if its me, then yes.
|
I don't ever come to this forum to harrass people, but not knowing "that they had death metal in Scottland (sic)" is completely absurd.
I'm about to pick up my guitar and play some death metal; so rest assured, they have death metal in Scotland. |

Haha, no wonder. |
That makes me realize how late I am. At 15 I was listening to Limp Bizkit and Linkin Park. And I thought I was so cool.
|
i don't see how psycroptic's riffs are boring. although the vocals are gay after a few listens.
|
I gave Psycroptic a few listens and it never appealed to me.

i'm curious, how many people in this thread play guitar?
|
Tune it down, otherwise it will suck.
No problem thanks to having 7 strings.
i'm curious, how many people in this thread play guitar?
I play guitar, bass, keyboard (for ambient) and can do quite a range of vocals. I bought v-drums a couple of months ago too. I've been recording for about 4 years. Though I'm hardly ever in this thread. |
