Nick 06-26-2006 08:01 PM

oshi we should start a club

the dude wit the porsche is a Nick too

tbh I was really surprised the name was available. I thought I was going to do Nick__ or summat

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 08:14 PM
Enemies of Reality and This Godless Endeavour are pretty straight-forward metal albums. If you want something a little more ambiguous then try Dreaming Neon Black.
I've been looking to add to my Nevermore collection (only have This Godless Endeavour) but my faggot *** local CD store only ever have 1 copy of This Godless Endeavour...it's about the time that I'm going to buy online.

Mild_child 06-26-2006 08:25 PM

My name's Dan but you can call me Nick.

Captain Kirk 06-26-2006 08:26 PM

Me in Ohio, near Cleveland ftw

I went to the Rock n Roll Hall of fame. Pretty cool

Saw the chair that 'Pink'(I think that's what they called him) sat in on the wall

They had Zakk Wyldes very first guitar there too. Bridge pickup was hella high

Later kids
My name's Dan but you can call me Nick.
Ill combine the two. How about that?

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:30 PM

Hey gents

I was wondering if anyone else from the UK was up this late (or early, depends how you look at it) - it's 3:15am over here. Anyone?

Nipples 06-26-2006 08:31 PM

Ew. UK. Yuck.

Nipples 06-26-2006 08:31 PM

Ew. UK. Yuck.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:32 PM

I'm up

then again I'm in Canada where it's 10:15

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:33 PM
Ew. UK. Yuck.
Shut it you yank. :)

Then again, I'm in debt to America for making Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure.....

I was up until about 5:30am last night or this mourning...I'm not in the UK though.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:37 PM

well I actually enjoy sleeping

specially in the mornings

so I don't usually stay up later than about 2:30 except on special occasions

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:37 PM

Meh, I'd enjoy sleeping if I got the hang of lucid dreaming....

That said, I had a reaaaaly odd dream last night....that i can remember some strange details of.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:38 PM

tbh I just enjoy sleeping because I'm the laziest fcuker you'll ever meet

and it's easier than thinking

or getting up and doing something

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 08:40 PM

I emjoy my sleep too...just up into the afternoon.

I actually slept very well...some of the best in months.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:42 PM

except that babies rarely sleep well at all

or indeed sleep all night uninterrupted

I'll forgive you though I know it's a popular cliche

I don't usually sleep past 1:00

usually

GuitarSlinger 06-26-2006 08:42 PM

mmm.. sleep

Nick 06-26-2006 08:43 PM

yer it's good shi innit

so tomorrow the guy down at my local shop is bringing in his pedalboard and letting me try it

I can't wait

Thonk 06-26-2006 08:44 PM

What's he have on it?

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:47 PM
I don't mostly sleep past 1:00

mostly

Fix'd

Nick 06-26-2006 08:48 PM

2 TS808s, a compressor, some kind of delay, phaser, and a bunch of EH synth effects I've never heard of, plus maybe some other stuff

I'll find out tomorrow I guess

I don't get it the_mop

what was wrong with MY adverbs eh

Thonk 06-26-2006 08:49 PM

Sounds pretty neat.

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:50 PM

I thought you were referring to that ridiculous line from Aliens. In which case, it's the adverb MOSTLY not USUALLY.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:50 PM

it looks like it's gonna be fun

he's real nice

gonna let me take the room and 2-3 small tube combos I'm looking at buying and just mess around as long as I want with his effects and shi see if I can find some sounds that I like

oh really haven't seen that movie for years sorry

I was actually being serious though

Muehehehehehe

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 08:53 PM

I need to start building my pedal board. I have a total of 0 effects. The sad part is I'm an effects whore.

The_Mop 06-26-2006 08:54 PM

My pedalboard consists of.....

....BOSS GT-8.

Nick 06-26-2006 08:57 PM

currently my chain goes

Me ==> My guitar ==> Peavey Rage 158 (FTW!!1!) ==> 20$ Radioshack mic ==> Digitech RP80 (as a mic preamp) ==> My eMac

As you can see I am in desperate need of some new gear

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 08:57 PM

In my dream rig I'ld be running 16 effects (that's including a nosie gate and compressor)

Nick 06-26-2006 08:58 PM

true bypassed, I hope

that would be some serious tone suck if they weren't

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 09:01 PM

Oh yeah...I wouldn't be messing around with that many pedal without true bypass or something that would feedback.

I would be using an Audio Controller, Line Mixer and a MIDI board via Custom Audio Electronic

Nick 06-26-2006 09:03 PM

ooh one of those TC switchboard thingies

might as well throw in a G-Force while your at it then

you know, for the more mundane effects so as not to take up space on your board that you could be using for wacky synth shi

HateBreeder69696 06-26-2006 09:03 PM

im an AMP = = = Guitar guy

Soul_Under_Arrest 06-26-2006 09:06 PM

Well I would put the pedals in the rack and have the audio controller hooked up to the MIDI board so I would have to good pedal dancing.

Complete control of the amps and pedal in a huge foot controller with the Wah and what not on the side.

Nick 06-26-2006 09:06 PM

guitar to amp is boring as fcuk though

it's also what I'm stuck with for now...

man I wish I had a job

naw

I wish I could get paid to not work

yeah mang the TC thing you just plug all your pedals in, leave them on and let it do the switching via midi

Nipples 06-26-2006 09:18 PM

I go guitar>bad horsie ii>podxt>oh shi- no amp

dont complain about going straight to your amp, be thankfull you have one, and arent being blown off by your store

Nick 06-26-2006 09:23 PM

hehe I have this funny vision of a guy with a patchcord trying to insert it into no amp

just sitting there with a patchcord

ohnoes what now I have no amp

just plug the pod into your omputer and use the speakers there

seriously

Yashnaheen 06-26-2006 09:24 PM

Sup.

My Jackson 'arrived' today. Unfortunately it was shipped via USPS, and the post office was closed before I got a chance to get there. Now im thinkin I should have paid the extra $10 to ship it FedEx.

Nick 06-26-2006 09:26 PM
