The Feeding 05-05-2009 04:07 PM

i think the day i bought it i put on my Ipod and worked an overnight and only listened to that album damn near all night

Si1v3RfaNg 05-05-2009 04:49 PM

omg omg omg PTH stole the bloodmeat riff from Hacksaw to the Throat... Listen to the song Divide by Zero by HTTT and skip to about 2:30 in, and listen to that in comparison with protest's intro to bloodmeat... it kind of disappoints me

Lol. It's not a rip off... Rhythm is different and bloodmeat intro has two chords. Yes, they sound similar but it's not plagiarism.

duma87 05-05-2009 09:42 PM

It looks like most if not all of those posters are of bands signed to Vagrant Records. If this show was produced in LA, I wouldn't be too surprised if they just called up Vagrant (which is based in LA) and asked for a bunch of posters to use in the show.

you're retarded. that riff is based around a traditional samba rhythm, i doubt pth has even heard hacksaw.

Tyler 05-06-2009 12:02 AM

oh and i was wrong today (m6) is rody's birthday happy birthday

adb 05-06-2009 12:29 AM

I just got a mental image of a giant cake being delivered to Rody on tour, Cocaine jumping out of it in a golden thong, and proceeding to dry hump him with his fists shaking in the air

Benzilla 05-06-2009 10:14 AM

A 23 year-old unwashed Choad, wonderful.

Tyler 05-06-2009 11:09 AM

adb the fact that you're always hypothesizing these situations involving me is a little alarming

Jev 05-06-2009 03:23 PM

I just got this image of Cocaine sitting next to the whole of Protest the Hero to look at this thread.

Pastorius 05-06-2009 03:58 PM

the rhythm is similar but bloodmeat is better and has way different sections inbetween

Benzilla 05-10-2009 11:33 AM

Rody could be pretty like Craig Owens or Anthony Green. Want proof? Rewatch his 4th video blog, the one about 4/20 and Abba.

happy birthday r/f

Motiv3 05-20-2009 03:05 PM

awesome band, period.

Harmoniai 05-23-2009 04:03 PM

I have never really heard a lot of their stuff. I saw an emo kid wearing one of their shirts so I wrote them off, but from a few clips they sound alright.

Should I go for Kezia or Fortress first?

alytee123 05-23-2009 05:38 PM

Either tbh. Though I'd go with Kezia first.

Moon Flavor 05-23-2009 07:10 PM

Kezia all the way Fortress is lame

The Feeding 05-24-2009 12:50 AM

anyone get the latest on the beard team canada?

Jev 05-24-2009 11:19 AM

Dunno if anyone else watches the Inbetweeners but I swear they have a Fortress poster in their common room. Awesome.

alytee123 05-24-2009 01:42 PM

Everyone raves about that program but I've only watched it once and thought it was a bit meh.

Benzilla 05-25-2009 03:04 PM

Luke posted a new video on vimeo:

http://vimeo.com/4829574

Klekticist 05-25-2009 04:57 PM

personally, i think fortress was an improvement over kezia.
a LOT of people seem to disagree though.

Jev 05-25-2009 05:00 PM

I agree with you.

Ventriloquist 05-25-2009 05:35 PM

I never liked Kezia as much as I liked Fortress. Only Blindfolds Aside tickles my pickle.

BridgeToSolace 05-25-2009 06:19 PM

Blindfolds Aside is the weakest song on that album.

Tyler 05-25-2009 09:08 PM

It was great at first but I was sick of it by the time Kezia came out. All the delays meant I'd been hearing it for about a year before it was actually released.

3ddie 05-26-2009 08:10 AM

nah... Heretics and Killers = worst song on Kezia...

cant wait for their new live DVD...
