DisposableHeroes 06-04-2004 01:40 PM

And because of how bad my school is, i'm plotting a media campaign showing how bad it really is :)

Burdcheese 06-04-2004 03:17 PM

You can listen to it non-live on Radio1. I'm listening to Metallica backstage stuff from Glasgow

Squirrel 06-04-2004 03:18 PM

Right now ?

Burdcheese 06-04-2004 03:22 PM

I missed out - on the BBC website

Squirrel 06-04-2004 03:25 PM

When are they doing the Donington broadcasts ?

Burdcheese 06-04-2004 03:27 PM

No idea... my quest continues. I refuse to accept its not live somewhere.

Squirrel 06-04-2004 03:27 PM

I know, it's criminal if they don't do Metallica live.

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 06-04-2004 04:36 PM

iunno if this is just me, but does anyone else jsut get really into a metallica song and keep listening to that same song for a period of time, then move on to another awesome song by metallica and listen to it for a period time?i do that all the time, but then i listen to everything sooner or later.

shlock 06-04-2004 04:58 PM

I do that with most music. It has a downside though, you can get desensitised too it, whereby it loses its effect and power.

Its a habit I've been trying to stop.

HeRoOfThEdAy1589 06-04-2004 09:10 PM

184 pages all on my favorite band ive learned so much since i wasnt around in metallicas kick *** days or i was just too young to know

KirkhammettisgodKH-2 06-04-2004 11:03 PM

this is what happened
i wonder what was going through there minds when they were creating songs on the st. anger album, how many people here like st. anger album or just like one or two songs on it?

i have heard most of them, but none of them stick out :upset:
Ok to begin if you've noticed the lyrics are different than james\ulrich standards because james had his alcohol problem and got back just after KIRK HAD WRITTEN the lyrics hence why there is an absence of solo's ( apparrently this album was whipped together very quickly so there was no elaboration period) i believe this is true but if im mistaken please correct this

ktulu_2112 06-04-2004 11:13 PM

Yeah I heard that st. anger was only produced because they wanted to come up with some money to put james through rehab....I don't know if that's true but one things for sure is that MEtallica can't play seek and destroy at concerts any more because it's like some tribute to the way he used to sing when he was drink...

KirkhammettisgodKH-2 06-04-2004 11:14 PM
