i used to like the story. but its a little drawn out. would have been better for one album or somehting. but the story is part of the gimmick really.
yeah

cobert 10-13-2006 09:13 PM
anyone notice that the story is really dumb?
Ya dont say?

Eliminator 10-13-2006 09:15 PM

shhh don't tell SIAT

cobert 10-13-2006 09:26 PM

One day he'll find out, go "Oh", and recognize SSTB is their good album.

Then he'll go out into the desert, not to return for years and years.

Storm In A Teacup 10-16-2006 06:45 PM

Dudes, the only thing I even know from the story is that Coheed kills most of his family and that's it. :p

I couldn't give two shits about the story itself even though I like some songs lyrically separated from the others.

DJ Ducksauce 10-16-2006 07:59 PM

It's KBI Ian. Duh.

/starts arguement again in order to liven up thread

Riziger 10-17-2006 02:57 AM

hmmm cool, coheed thread!

well, i love them.

TheBigMachine 10-17-2006 04:49 AM

What IS the story anyway?

Riziger 10-17-2006 06:41 AM

basically,

Coheed and cambria are the parents of 4 children i think. Coheed gets bitten by a dragonfly who inserts some poison into him and he turns into the Monstar(it's not misspelt). erm, Claudio who is one of the four children is rescued by his uncle, Jesse.

Claudio who has become the Monstar is i think destroying the Keywork(the 4 circles and a triangle thing which is actually their solar system or summat) slowly.

thats pretty much all i know. Good Apollo is written from the Writer's point of view, the Writer being the creator of this story.

Ten Speed is a possesed Bicycle.

there are a lot of other small things that happen to Claudio which are really quite troublesome to explain like his love-life etc. he likes Newo Ikkin and i think after that, Ambellina but i'm not sure abt ambellina.

TheBigMachine 10-17-2006 06:55 AM

OIC. It sounds pretty intricate etc etc, I might google it. Or maybe listen to the story songs, I dunno...

DJ Ducksauce 10-17-2006 07:19 AM

Oh, and Apollo is a dog.

Cant forget that.

Riziger 10-17-2006 11:18 AM

haha yeah.

DepthsOfDreams555 10-17-2006 06:43 PM

Ambellina is a fairy and Claudio loves her but then she gets killed in GA.

B 10-17-2006 11:11 PM

I want the comics.

I don't even care about Coheed the comics just seem cool.

Riziger 10-18-2006 12:13 AM
Ambellina is a fairy and Claudio loves her but then she gets killed in GA.
Cool, i didnt really get GA... writer's point of view and all.

Yeah the Graphic Novels are damn cool.

DJ Ducksauce 10-18-2006 06:10 AM

I like the comics better. They make more sense.

Riziger 10-18-2006 06:46 AM

but the Graphic Novels look so awesome....

DepthsOfDreams555 10-18-2006 04:52 PM

They only had two comics and they were sweet the graphic novel is awesome too though. The story is pretty cool but it's stupid trying to figure it out I'm just going to wait for new records and comics and stuff.

lunchforthesky 10-20-2006 09:00 AM

dont they only have one record left to finish the story?
im sure claudio says that on the starland dvd

TheBigMachine 10-20-2006 09:18 PM

One record, and then like a cd where it's just the entire story in one.

DJ Ducksauce 10-21-2006 12:05 AM

New video.

Weird yet cool.

Riziger 10-21-2006 09:16 AM

hmmm it's a home-made one tho....still pretty cool.

October 31st!!!! can't wait!

DJ Ducksauce 10-21-2006 09:53 AM

Still, home made by the band.

DJ Ducksauce 10-22-2006 03:02 PM

Man, Coheed is gonna be in Edmonton on the 15th.

I wish I still lived there. :(

Ande12333 10-26-2006 11:28 AM

does anyone have link for INFERNO?

Cesar 10-29-2006 02:31 PM

the band is really good. I'm one of those people that don't like songs that go ove 5:30 min, so that would be the only let down.... i like some long songs but mainly they get boring

TheBigMachine 10-30-2006 03:09 AM

Yeah I agree, sometimes they get a bit lengthy.

Kif 10-30-2006 05:12 PM

Link for PFI is in the PPDU.

I'm really getting into it now. It's a nice break from the heavier of Coheed's sound, and it's very slowed paced. Also lots of really good music on there too, a lot of the songs feel very imaginative and fresh to listen to. I'm impressed.

DJ Ducksauce 10-31-2006 09:43 PM
Dear Friends,

It is a very special day for me, The Prize Fighter Inferno’s “My Brother’s Blood Machine” is in stores today! This record has been a long time coming, it encompasses about 8 years of ideas, mostly just me messing around in my free time that turned into something I’m really proud of.

Coheed and Cambria’s new DVD “The Last Supper: Live at the Hammerstein Ballroom” is also in stores today! This was recorded on the last stop of this year’s spring tour, in New York City. Coming home to NY is always a good time for us, and we feel privileged to have captured those moments in our lives that we’ll now have forever to share with all of you!

We hope that you will go and check both of these releases out, and please leave us comments and let us know what you think!

From PFI Myspace.

Coolio.

Might buy it if I like after I listen to it from ppdu.

Fish 11-01-2006 05:44 PM

coheed is still wicked! the acoustic version of favor house on their myspace made me all warm inside

Kif 11-03-2006 12:05 PM

Apparently Mic and Josh have left the band permenantly now.

cobert 11-03-2006 02:57 PM
...I felt there were creative differences to some degree most of the time, especially with In Keeping Secrets and Good Apollo...
So basically Claudio and Travis are proggy tools that decided to screw up the masterpiece sound of SSTB.

SunnyDayRealEstateAM 11-04-2006 03:37 AM

basically yeah. what ever i still like everything by them. it just bums me out.

EinzingerIsGod 11-04-2006 11:36 AM

The departure of Micheal and Josh solidifies my decision to stop caring about this band.

Although I never really cared for Josh's drumming.

cobert 11-04-2006 11:38 AM

Haha, my thoughts exactly.

Riziger 11-09-2006 06:07 AM

sigh, guess what, i can't find neither the last supper nor PFI in my local stores.

why are they such idiots? They brought in Good Apollo but not The Last Supper.

Fish 11-12-2006 06:28 PM

the last supper is wild! I can't wait to see them live again

Riziger 11-26-2006 03:39 AM

this song has been on the net for awhile now but their new song, Mother Superior is seriously awesome.

i dled it from the cobalt forums altho it's acoustic live it still sounds really really good.

neverender 11-26-2006 12:08 PM
http://altpress.com/news/1454.htm

yeh thats really reallllly bad news :( mics bass tone and style compliments the drumming, and they both fit with the guitar style perfectly..

i know theres a lot of elitist 'individuals' that think sstb was the only good album, but u get those ppl with all bands (fans thinking they are old school etc)... the past 3 albums were all amazing... dunno if theyll be any good at all without mic and josh :(

DJ Ducksauce 11-26-2006 01:37 PM

All GA really was was guitar. It's a lot harder to get into than the other 2 imo.

Welcome Home raped for quite a while.
