The White Album is probably my favorite Bealtes album.

El_Goodo 08-03-2005 12:28 PM
The first song I ever remember hearing was Here Comes The Sun. The Beatles is a great band, but I'm sorry to say I think they're a bit overrated.
Well I find it unlogical to be able to overrate the most succesful band in history...

DeusExMachina 08-03-2005 12:32 PM

I don't quite see the appeal of The White Album. Some of it I love, but some of it I just don't like all that much. In my opinion, Abbey Road > Rubber Soul > The White Album.

TerryThorne 08-03-2005 12:44 PM

Neither do I, some songs are alright and a lot are kinda like fillers and don't have anytthing really special about them

Flaminghotchino 08-03-2005 02:51 PM

Yeah white album has some great classics, but it doesn't compete with Sgt. Peppers in my opinion where every track is just so **** good.

El_Goodo 08-03-2005 02:52 PM

Ooo I just downloaded My Sweet Lord I had no idea this song was George Harrison. This is a really great and catchy song :) Has anyone uploaded "All things must pass"

pigonthewing82 08-03-2005 02:54 PM

Well what I like about the White Album is how diverse it is. I mean Abby Road, in all its greatness, is mostly a rock album. The White Album touches nearly every genre rock. I wouldn't dismiss some songs on the White Album as fillers like Revolution #9 is often called a filler, but its more of John trying to be artistic. Its like Pink Floyds tracks from Dark Side of the Moon like On The Run. They arn't fillers, just the artist trying to work outside instruments.

Illmatic 08-03-2005 02:56 PM

I love The White Album...it's such an eclectic, imaginitive album. And it has my two favorite Beatles songs ("While My Guitar Gently Weeps", "Dear Prudence")

And I actually didn't mind "Revolution 9" all that much.

Walrus did in Other Music. Download it now. It's an amazing album. Speaking of that, I have a question about George. Does anyone know when he started playing slide guitar? Because I very rarely here it in Beatles albums, but it's in a lot of songs on ATMP.

TheKrabsman~Reviews~ 08-03-2005 02:59 PM

Does anyone have the Let It Be Sessions album?

Where exactly in Other Music? (**** My Sweet Lord is an awesomely catchy song)

Woodstock 08-03-2005 03:11 PM

The first five songs of ATMP are perfect.
He's Aaron, but then again, so am I. So it gets confusing
Yeah, we need a way to differentiate.
Isn't Kingofdudes Aaron as well? Or am I just crazy? Bah. Now I'm all confused.
Yeah, he's an Aaron too.
Does anyone have the Let It Be Sessions album?
I don't think there ever was a Let It Be Sessions album? Where did you hear of this?
Ooo I just downloaded My Sweet Lord I had no idea this song was George Harrison. This is a really great and catchy song Has anyone uploaded "All things must pass"
I think Amanda uploaded it in one of the YSI threads.

Other Music, I just read Robo's post.

NP: All Things Must Pass - The Beatles.

That's right, a bootleg

Edit: Art of Dying is a good song off of All Things Must Pass.

Illmatic 08-03-2005 03:14 PM

Maybe he's talking about Let It Be... Naked?

MBS 08-03-2005 03:19 PM
Maybe he's talking about Let It Be... Naked?
Probably not... Let It Be...Naked is an actual album not sessions.

MBS 08-03-2005 03:35 PM

Can you tell us what the art looked like?

DeusExMachina 08-03-2005 03:52 PM

Yeah, I like the first one. I'm going to go download ATMP right now.

The Krabsman, I love your avatar.

Woodstock 08-03-2005 03:56 PM

Hehe, glichy triple post. And Joe Pass is cool.

TheKrabsman~Reviews~ 08-03-2005 03:57 PM

Thank you DeusExMachina.

If I find the "Let It Be Sessions" album, I'll upload here. If anybody else gets a good copy of it, do the same.
Thank you DeusExMachina.

That would be great. I doubt any of us will be able to get it though.

TheKrabsman~Reviews~ 08-03-2005 04:24 PM

Well the problem is, is that my friend got the album from a 1 gigabyte torrent, that has a bunch of their albums, and I already have all there albums, and I don't want to whore my bandwith for 3 days.

DeusExMachina 08-03-2005 08:21 PM

Hm.. well, it would be cool if you could get it up, but no pressure.

Damn triple post thingie. I'll delete two of them.
80 adys till McCartney, Columbus ohio.
How much did you pay for tickets?

DeusExMachina 08-03-2005 09:50 PM

I think my tickets were 80 a piece or something like that, don't remember for sure. But those were in one of the cheaper ticket brackets, they got up to 250.

Seafroggys 08-03-2005 10:40 PM

However many days it is til November 4, and I'll see Paul *for a second time*.

93 days I believe.

El_Goodo 08-03-2005 11:34 PM

blue3 08-03-2005 11:41 PM

Seeing him for the 2nd time? Lucky..

Leper 08-04-2005 12:33 AM

I just got the White Album today on vinyl..needless to say i'm in ecstasy.

rock4life33 08-04-2005 01:20 AM

Got to Love Them!!!

I love the Beatles and they are still to this day my greatest influence on guitar besides Hendrix. It just gets me so mad that people at my school always say that they are a bunch of british punks that sing about being in love. With all the mainstream crap and all these ganster wannabees with their rap nobody just gives them a chance. People at my school compare them to the likes of the Ramones saying that the Ramones are way better. I don't understand why they don't listen to hardcore beatles (by hardcore I mean stuff that isn't on the Radio) stuff such as "the end" "Across the Universe" etc. you know what I mean Anyways, my favorite song gots to be All You need is Love cuz it inspires me so much to do stuff. Well, peace! and oh yeah I AM teh WALRUS! :thumb:

blue3 08-04-2005 01:27 AM

A lot of people in my school like The Beatles. A lot of people wear classic rock band shirts but don't listen to the band. Anyways, I Am The Walrus is a great song.

Leper 08-04-2005 01:45 AM
and oh yeah I AM teh WALRUS! :thumb:
No your not. You might have convinced me, had you added a koo koo ka choo in there. ;)

DeusExMachina 08-04-2005 06:17 PM

It's actually goo goo ga joob. That's what the written lyrics are, but they don't sound like it. I would know, because I am the eggman. Me and the walrus, we're close friends.

divinecheese 08-04-2005 06:27 PM

Pet Sounds Beats All Beatle Albums Except For Abbey Road

Thant is one of my pet peeves. Goo Goo Ga Joob = Beatles, Koo Koo Ka Choo= Simon and Garfunkel. Like duh.

Am I the only one who likes "Revolution 9"? I think it's pretty cool.
