 God**** those players 1,2 and 3 are hilarious. From CAD I mean.

Anyways, I'm in an '80s mood today. Currently going through every '80s pop, rock and metal band I have on my comp. It's about a days worth of songs though, so I think I'll be here for a while.
Do you know of Journey?

Riva 11-08-2004 07:20 PM

Suprisingly, no. What genre?

I remember once I decided to listen to every downloaded audio file I had on my computer. I shied from that when it turned out to be 28 hours.

zepfan: www.ctrlaltdel-online.com Just check it out for yourself :) It's my personal favourite webcomic, and I read quite a few.

80's, sort of between metal and classic rock. Lots of hits, check em out.

Only 28 hours Bartender? 236 here :p

Riva 11-08-2004 07:31 PM

Good stuff. I will.

Check out Full Frontal Nerdity as well, zepfan.

*checks* Frighteningly, my media player now also has 236 hours on it. 236:04:43.

That's not downloaded though..it's just most of my CDs ripped to the computer.

Yeah, I've read some FFN now. It's good, and I'm nerdy enough to get all the D&D jokes, even if I don't actually play myself :)

zepfan: Journey - Remember Me?

Riva 11-08-2004 07:39 PM

Yes, the large majority of my songs are ripped off of CDs.

I'm thinking of getting fast food for lunch. What should I have?

Currently playing: Iron Maiden - Run To The Hills

Any one ever heard of the online comic called Real Life? Its pretty good, you should check it out if you like online comics.

Most of mine are ripped to, I didn't bring my CDs to college with me.

Ripa: Get Mexican fast food.

Bartender: I don't know that one, I only have the greatest hits :/

Riva 11-08-2004 07:45 PM

Hehe, I've only played it once with my cousin. I don't think I'm a hardcore enough nerd to get really into it, though I do love fantasy books, games, movies. David Eddings is my favourite author, right behind is Raymond Feist and Robert Jordan. And I love RPGs and RTS that are based in medieval/fantasy settings.

Currently Playing: The Cult - She Sells Sanctuary

I was thinking of getting myself some takeaway as well, for some kind of strange meal that takes place at 2am.

Bobo - haven't read that one actually. I'll have a look at it later, after reading more Full Frontal.

Yeah, me neither, that's why I've got so much on this computer.

Remember Me, I'm pretty sure is a Journey song. I think it was on the Armageddon soundtrack.

Riva 11-08-2004 07:49 PM

Hey, Bartender! I finally found some Galadriel. The bass player also plays flute, as I have discovered. And the guitars do sound very fuzzy. I haven't found the song that I heard before, but I have another one. Really progressive rock, I'd say.

Yeah, I think I'm at the same kind of level as you. I seem to love everything but the LARPs and D&D-style games.

Have you ever read any R.A. Salvatore?

Bartender 11-08-2004 08:07 PM

Good  Drizzt certainly is awesome.

Permanent Solution 11-08-2004 08:12 PM

I like D&D, but we only played it occasionally, we never got into it enough in my group of friends. Great game though.

Riva 11-08-2004 08:13 PM

Found it. Girl Of Xeventeen. The one I had heard before. They are pretty good, if a bit unique. Do you want me to send you some?

Paranoidd 11-08-2004 09:25 PM

Somebody was listening to The Cult?

They're an awesome band...it may surprise you, but I have all their albums. Billy Duffy was an amazing guitar player/songwriter, as far as I'm concerned.

Riva 11-08-2004 09:29 PM

Yeah, I love The Cult. Of course, I am stcuk in an '80s time warp right now.

Puts on Fire Woman to please Paranoidd. :thumb:

Cipher Hour 11-08-2004 09:30 PM

Ooh! Put on some Scorpions next while you're in your 80's time warp.

Bartender 11-08-2004 09:30 PM

^I never found The Cult to be all that great. I'm reasonably familiar with them though, since my sister is quite the fan.
