BWAHAHAHAHAHA! Someone went for a wander around the infamous Metal Shop forums didn't they? HAHA!
Oh man, that was an excellent night...... in hindsight! HAHA! And yeah, there'll be some very limited numbers of shirts there... including 2 which I've managed to get my hands on: an original No Way Out shirt from a run of 25 back in 2001 and a Pure Aussie Power Metal shirt from 2003. :) |
Man i almost pissed myself while reading that
anyone ever been on Lost Horizon's website? man they are so power metal its not even funny :p |
Cry of a Restless Soul is my new "song to play when nobody is home"
|
Mine is Devoured by Vermin by Cannibal Corpse, but that's besides the point.
Lost Horizon kick arse. |
Gosh I love Lost Horizon.
|
You took up alot of space just to say that.
|
You wouldn't believe how often the ladies tell me that also.
*tries to squeeze sexual inneundo out of Ollie's post* |

Can't say i blame you, Cannibal Corpse isnt the kind of band you want to go around telling people you like |

Depends on the reaction you're looking for. |
I don't give a toss about reaction from people, I love CC's music, and wear my hoodie, not for a reaction to the gore on it, but because I really like the band, same as I wear my Maiden shirts and my Mayhem one, and all the others.
I would just get parental complaints about me singing along to it, which I tend not to do anyway when people are in. |

Well you would only admit to liking them in public if you wanted the crap beaten out of you and getting a possible *** raping if you say it in a dark alley |

Screw you, hippie. |
Alright, found the thread.
Thats a funny as hell story there Tim.Y You really must write an autobiography at some point, as far as I know, You have led a pretty crazy life, as many of us hope to do so aswell. I've said it many a time on dungeon forums, but I DESPERATELY wish I could go to Sydney gig. www.screamingsymphony.com Australian metal ON AIR NOW. |
Why? So you could heckle?
:p
I could have dressed up. And then endured a glorious battle with the guy who was wearing a pirate hat there. :p |

Or a Batman chant. BAT-MAN, BAT-MAN, BAT-MAN, BAT-MAN. |
That too
I just found pics of the gig, which can be located here. |
Yer, those were posted on another forum, I believe the first set of pics are of a band with one of the members posting on the forum.
|
LT, or anyone who knows, any guitar tabs for Dungeon available?
The guitarist in me band wants to know... therefore if noone has heard any good Dungeon covers, you may well do soon :p |
I've never been able to find any tabs. I've requested them at a few places unsuccessfully as well. :(
If you find any, let me (us) know. EDIT: Band-Dungeon Title-Against The Wind Album-One Step Beyond www.dungeon.cd Tuning - standard Rhythm isn't perfect,listen to cd Intro (Gtr.1) *note, 11= elevens |--------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------| |--------------------------------------| |-7776-7776-776--1111119-1111119-11116-| |--------------------------------------| Intro (Gtr.2) |-----------------------------| |-----------------------------| |-----------------------------| |-----------------------------| |-4442-4442-442-7776-7776-772-| |-----------------------------| That's all I've ever found, but I'm year to hear the song it's from. |
WHAT!
Great album. I got it  |
I've heard good things. I'll get it as soon as I have some cash to throw around, which could be at least 3 months from now. :(
|
Yeah. Buying it Exclusively for Terranno del mar would be worth it.
|
Get the extended edition with the dvd its great, to the living end' and 'Surface Tension' are my favourite songs
|
^ I've been after that since LT mentioned it in here.
/becomes angry at Dungeon for not having it at their gig  |
We actually don't own it - that's the LMP release and it's not even supposed to be in this country because of the way the territories are organised, but due to the parallel importing laws, they still end up in shops here. (which is good for you guys, of course).
BTW, that tab is wrong - both guitars are playing octaves in a minor 3rd harmony. EG: |-------------------------------------------| |-------------------------------------------| |-7776xx7776xx7~6x-1010109xx1010109xx10~9~5-| |-------------------------------------------| |-5554xx5554xx5~4x-8 8 8 7xx8 8 8 7xx8 ~7~3-| |-------------------------------------------| x=string mute (ie: lift your fingers off of the strings to deaden them and pick them to get a muted sound, rather than a palm mute) ~= slur (so 7~6 means play from 7th and slide down to 6th still sounding the note) The 2nd guitar plays a diatonic minor 3rd harmony, ie: 3 scale degrees up. And tuning is E flat (every string tuned a semitone lower) |
I'm listening to some Dungeon samples now. Why didn't anybody tell me that they're amazing?!
Lord Tim, I'm going to buy an album or two soon. |
Hey Creeping Deth, Dungeon are AMAZING.
LORD is/will be amazing aswell. |
Which album should I get first?
|

Now if only I could find it...
Which album should I get first?
I don't think it really matters. I have A Rise To Power and the Resurrection re-release. They are both awesome, and I couldn't pick a favourite. One Step Beyond has a good reputation as well, as can be seen a few posts above. NP: Where Madness Hides |
I'd suggest One Step Beyond first myself, but everyone has their favourites. :)
|
Which album should I get first?
I say get resurrection its brilliant, paradise/legend of huma and resurrection > all anyone noticed that 'i am death' main riff sounds kind of like master of puppets? (no offence meant by that comment to tim and the other dungeon guys) |
Now if we could only get tabs for Stormchaser...
I would personally reccommend getting A rise to Power it's my favourite /notices the thread has been Dungeon-filled for the past 10 pages :p |
Suckups. :p
I really like A Rise To Power...quite a good album. One problem though: what's with that one track (7 or 8, I believe), with the clip of the lady giving birth to the baby that kills everybody in the room? :amaze: |
Dungeon are weird. I don't see what is so great about them, I only have the Rise To Power album though.
|

Speaking of signs of death. :p Anyway, after going through my albums and mp3s, trying to organize the next bands for my series, I've come to realize it's going to be a very power metal holiday. The next three bands are: Primal Fear Epica Black Majesty |
Haven't heard of the top and bottom one, but Epica is quite good. A bit generic, but Simone has a decent voice...

If you read my spotlight on Gamma Ray you should recognize Primal Fear. Black Majesty are a (sadly) obscure Aussie band from Melbourne. |
