Daughters ftw

UpperDecker 01-25-2008 08:17 PM
Daughters ftw
I just got Canada Songs in the mail and so far I'm not that pleased with it. It is crazy and intense and I like complicated guitar work but idk, maybe I haven't listened to it enough yet to appreciate it. I also just bought Psyopus - Our Puzzling Encounters Considered and I really like it so far. Suprised I even saw it at the store.

LifeInABox 01-25-2008 08:19 PM

You don't like The Daughters but you like Psyopus? That's kind of stupid.

RetiredAt21 01-25-2008 09:57 PM

Daughters isn't really that complicated. I can play a lot of their songs. They sound deceptively difficult.

LifeInABox 01-25-2008 10:04 PM

They're simple diminished chords, but they sound a hell of alot better than Psyopus.

RetiredAt21 01-25-2008 11:45 PM

Psyopus' guitar player is actually very, very good.

LifeInABox 01-25-2008 11:47 PM

They can't write a coherant song, though.

RetiredAt21 01-25-2008 11:47 PM

And the Locust can? Pfft.

LifeInABox 01-25-2008 11:48 PM

Yes?

RetiredAt21 01-25-2008 11:49 PM

I don't wanna talk about the Locust anymore.

UNHOLY GRAVE.

i am the robots 01-26-2008 02:09 AM

Psyopus is so entertaining live.

I saw them AND See You Next Tuesday at the same show, that was freaking awesome.

whiteminority 01-26-2008 03:54 AM

How do you guys judge trends? By the amount of people on this messageboard who listen to a band? Because there is most definately not a trend with IW, they had the Evolved into Obliteration demo cd-r's that were released, shit not even 6 months ago, for at least 3 months and those were limited to 175. And it was in support of the then upcoming World Extermination LP coming out on fairly popular label 625 Thrash.

No, I find you to be a trendy fag.

Nice to see your butthurt.

Bahahahaha Northwest mincecore for the win.

Let's talk about Agathocles if we're gonna mention bands that have done over 50 releases for no reason whatsoever.
No, I find you to be a trendy fag.
i listen to stuff based on personal taste, not popularity, try again

whiteminority 01-26-2008 04:05 AM

Ok, I still think you are.

You happen to have the personal taste of what Hot Topic/Metalblade Records says.

Dimmu Burger 01-26-2008 07:33 AM
They can't write a coherant song, though.
Its not that kind of music though, its not meant to be coherant. I think its meant to be all chaotic like that.
