From what I've heard, I enjoy them. Can't say I've heard much though

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 08:23 PM

They are great. There voices are perfect together. Some of best harmonies in rock and roll, especially when young was in the group.

magicbus 08-07-2004 08:43 PM

Better than Boston?!?! :amaze:

BludgeonySteve 08-07-2004 08:46 PM

^yes.

I also got Ac/dc- powerage, Yes- Fragile and hendrix- best of on vinyl. They were a dollar so I got them even though I have 2 of those an cd ;)

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 08:46 PM

Its damn close, but Crosby, Stills, Nash, And Young could pull it off better live.

Badmoon 08-07-2004 08:54 PM

Stills > All

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 08:55 PM

My dad saw them live about a month ago. Lucky bastard. No Young though. Crosby, Stills, And Nash with no Young is like the Allman Brothers with no Dickey Betts, which I am still pissed about.

Badmoon 08-07-2004 08:56 PM

No, without Young they're just fine. He had little input anyway.

magicbus 08-07-2004 08:57 PM

Vinyl is good. Even if you have it on cds. I only have one though, Pink Floyd's Meddle. All the record stores had gay albums...:upset:

Which reminds me, i get to go to the floyd laser show after all!

Against Miik! 08-07-2004 08:58 PM

Yeah, but he filled everything out nicely.

B0nz0 08-07-2004 09:05 PM
Yeah, but he filled everything out nicely.
agreed. 4 dead in ohio wouldn't have been the same without him

magicbus 08-07-2004 09:06 PM

Ok I'm in here for awhile. I just don't know much about the bands you're discussing :upset:

Neil young solo> stills (I assume we're talking about buffalo springfield, don't kill me if we aren't.

Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young

All of the non-gay albums get bought quickly. People don't make vinyl anymore so they are in high demand. I mint condition dark side of the moon on vinyl is like $50 now

All though there is some talk of people making vinyl again/ Aslo there are companies that still make record players. My mommy is getting me one soon :)

BludgeonySteve 08-07-2004 09:10 PM
Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young
ahh, kk, gg, bbq

magicbus 08-07-2004 09:15 PM

I just use my dad's. He has a huuuge vinyl collection. Lots of Santana, Yes, Fleetwood Mac, Hendrix, Allman Brothers, Earth Wind and Fire, Crosby Stills and Nash, Frank Zappa, Jeff Beck. Then some Bob Dylan and Skynyrd. Stuff like that. I like throwin em on every once in a while.

sevenseasofrhye 08-07-2004 09:21 PM

classic rock bands

um Queen (if you think theyre classic, i personally think theyre glam rock), the Who, Zeppelin, Peter Frampton, Rolling Stones, Cream, Clapton, Chicago, Kinks, Pink Floyd, Jethro Tull (awesome with the flute and stuff), The Beatles, The Eagles, Super Tramp, 3 Dog Night, Van Halen, Oasis, Crosby Stills and Nash, Crosby, Stills Nash and Young, um yeah theres more but my brain is frazzled...

oh btw, I think that the band Jet sounds very much like classic rock, some of their songs remind me of the beatles and its not all heavy metal like much rock my friends listen to i mean all the kids in 8th grade either listen to rap or punk rock or linkin park.. something annoying

BludgeonySteve 08-07-2004 09:22 PM

My parents have at least 1000 records. But I don't like using their record player. As soon as I get my own I can pretty much listen to anything. Exept various hair metal, hard rock black sabbath sort of bands that they don't like and I do.

Man I wish my parents are like that but my dad does have some VH albums on cd.

magicbus 08-07-2004 09:28 PM

My dad has a good amount. I should get a picture. Maybe tomorrow.

BludgeonySteve 08-07-2004 09:32 PM

I wish I had a digital camera. Then I could post pictures of junk and such. Like my parents (and now mine since I added best of BTO to it ;)) album wall type thing.

Neil's solo are choppy, and predictable. Stills can take him on slide, electric, acoustic, ect...IMO
4 dead in ohio
*"Ohio"

magicbus 08-07-2004 09:41 PM

Yea I'll get pictures of the enormous album and cd/dvd (same shelf) collections tomorrow. Right now i'm goin to bed. BE IN SUSPENSE!!

I wanted to go to the laser show but I missed my chance for buying tickets because I was on Vacation.

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 09:43 PM

I'm here. No worries.

I meant his solo career. Stills is a better guitarist.

And the children rejoice...

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 09:45 PM

Cortez the Killer has a very good solo

themightyquinn 08-07-2004 09:48 PM
