What's the difference between Soundtrack to the Apocalypse and the deluxe version of it, and is it worth it?
I was tempted to buy it today, but it wasn't the deluxe edition so I thought I'd ask first (I got Human by Death anyway). |
I didn't know there was a deluxe edition. The only one I've seen is 80$, and even though I love Slayer, I own all their cds, and i don't think it is worth 80$ for some more live shows and stuff.. if I was rich I would, but I'm not rich :P.
|
The deluxe edition has a live cd from the GHUS tour or mabye its a dvd, in any case, theres just more cool crap, if your really into slayer get the big one, but otherwise don't spend too much time on.
|
ya the deluxe one comes with the live DVD, and its in like a footlocker. the regular is like a big CD case
|
The one I saw was in a World War II-style ammo box.
|
ya...thats what i meant. my mistake :upset:
So anybody have new info on when the new Kreator cd comes out?
About 2 months after recording has finished. |
^ Bad. Thrash should stay underground.
metdrummer: Well I like them, but they're a little too much "high-school-kids-goofing-off" for me. Give me some Slayer (high-school-kids-singing-about-satan) any day :p
**** right man Slayer is better than ALL lol |
Where can i download this new megadeth song from? megadeth web-site?
[edit: oh yeah it is the official deth web-site d'oh] |

Some Death Metal News
Reunited death metal legends OBITUARY have completed four new songs and are currently working on a few others. The material, which is said to be in the "classic OBITUARY" vein, will surface on the band's long-awaited new album, tentatively due in early 2005 through Roadrunner Records.
Formed in 1984 as EXECUTIONER (later shortened to XECUTIONER), OBITUARY are widely considered to be one of the most influential and groundbreaking bands in the death metal genre. After releasing several successful albums in the late Eighties/early Nineties (including the classic 1989 debut "Slowly We Rot" and its equally punishing 1990 follow-up, "Cause of Death"), the band announced their breakup, with John Tardy's disinterest in touring apparently a major factor, according to the Internet heavy metal encyclopedia BNR Metal Pages. Trevor Peres has since started CATASTROPHIC, while Donald Tardy joined Andrew W.K.'s band some time ago. |
I have been meaning to check obituary out for approx. 2 years :upset:
|
Yeh, I reckon - one of those bands you always mean to look into but never do. My cousin's got some one his ipod if i remember, but i just wanted to listen to tool :P
|
Obituary are amazing i really suggest you hear something by them there cover of buried alive by venom is brillaint
|
Yeah, Obituary are my fave Death Metal band. Slowly We Rot, Cause Of Death and The End Complete are essential albums. Very Speed/Thrash at times, but have brutal lyrics. Some songs to check out are....
Slowly We Rot 'Til Death Internal Bleeding Find The Arise (Demo version is better) Intoxicated Chopped In Half Circle Of The Tyrants (Tom G Warrior!) Dying The End Complete Final Thoughts Buried Alive (Great Cover) They have an Anthology out with basically all them songs on it. I;d suggest picking it up. |

Yeah! and it has James Murphy on lead. The dodgy Techno/Death song is just a remixed version of Boiling Point from World Demise. Pointless remix if you ask me!
